The Aspire Cool Blue Relief is a 20cm all-foam mattress, made in the UK and delivered rolled, with a 1cm layer of cool blue gel memory foam under a zip-off cover. It costs £300 in a small single and £425 in a 4ft6 double, and Aspire rates it medium-firm.

What is inside the Cool Blue Relief

Aspire’s product page lists three foams. At the top is 1cm of what Aspire calls HD cool blue gel memory foam, with a stated density of 60kg per cubic metre, which Aspire says disperses heat up to five times faster than standard memory foam. Below it sit 8cm of high-density reflex foam and 10cm of recycled eco foam. Aspire describes the mattress as zoned and lists its filling as gel.

Layer, top to bottom What Aspire states
Quilted zip cover Removable and washable
Cool blue gel memory foam 1cm, 60kg per cubic metre
Reflex foam 8cm, high density
Eco support foam 10cm, recycled
Total depth 20cm

A single centimetre of memory foam softens the surface rather than letting you sink in, so the feel comes mostly from the reflex foam underneath, which is supportive and fairly firm. That suits back and front sleepers. Side sleepers with broad shoulders will find too little give between them and the firmer foam below.

Sizes and prices

Aspire sells the Cool Blue Relief in the six standard UK sizes, with free delivery to the UK mainland. These are the prices on Aspire’s shop on 13 October 2026.

Size Mattress (cm) Aspire price
Small single (2ft6) 75 x 190 £300
Single (3ft) 90 x 190 £315
Small double (4ft) 120 x 190 £425
Double (4ft6) 135 x 190 £425
King (5ft) 150 x 200 £495
Super king (6ft) 180 x 200 £650

Aspire’s own Total Relief uses a similar 20cm foam build with plain memory foam and costs about half as much in a double, so the gel and the denser reflex layer are what the extra money buys.

Returns and warranty

There is no sleep trial. Aspire’s returns policy gives you 14 days to cancel an order, but it excludes mattresses whose hygiene seal has been broken unless they are faulty, and a rolled mattress has to come out of its wrapping before anyone can lie on it. The product page lists a 1-year warranty.

Who should buy it

Buy the Cool Blue Relief if you sleep on your back or front, want a British-made rolled foam mattress with a firmer, cooler-feeling top, and already know you like a medium-firm feel. If you sleep on your side or want real memory foam contouring, our best gel mattresses ranking has deeper gel and memory foam layers at a range of prices.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Cool Blue Relief makes sense for a back or front sleeper who wants a UK-made foam mattress with a firmer, cooler-feeling top and an easy rolled delivery. With only 1cm of gel memory foam, a 1-year warranty and no trial, be sure the medium-firm feel suits you before you order.”
