Best Panda mattress toppers: Bamboo vs Hybrid compared

Panda London is a British bedding brand known for memory foam toppers and pillows with bamboo covers, and it also makes hybrid mattresses and a waterproof protector. The founders set up Panda in 2015, according to Panda’s about page; the company behind the shop, Panda Life Ltd, was incorporated on 6 July 2015 and is registered in north-west London (Companies House, no. 09672086).

Trials and guarantees

Panda runs two trial lengths. Its mattresses come with 100 nights, while toppers, pillows and bedding get 30 nights, and Panda states that the 30-night trial is exclusive to orders from pandalondon.com (Panda trial page). The guarantee is 2, 5 or 10 years depending on the product. Buy direct and you are enrolled automatically; buy from another retailer and the standard cover is one year until you register the item within 12 months (Panda guarantee terms). UK delivery is free on orders over £30.

Who Panda suits

Panda is strongest on toppers. The 5 cm Bamboo Mattress Topper is ranked first in our lists of the best memory foam mattress toppers and the best bamboo mattress toppers, and the Hybrid Bamboo Mattress Topper comes second in our main topper comparison. Both suit someone who wants to soften a firm mattress and keep a washable cover on top.

The limits are the short topper trial and the conditions around it. Thirty nights is not long to judge a topper, and the trial disappears if you buy from a third-party retailer. The mattress is a smaller part of the business and sits in our list of the best mattresses in a box, while the protector appears in our best mattress protectors.
