Argos Gutscheincode & Aktionen

Argos is a UK general merchandise retailer that sells mattresses online and in its stores, from its own Argos Home models to Silentnight, Habitat and boxed brands such as Simba and Emma. According to Sainsbury’s, which bought Argos in 2016, around 80% of Argos sales start online, the business has 20 million active customers and more than 1,100 collection points, and its Fast Track delivery reaches more than 90% of UK postcodes.

Ownership in 2026

On 31 July 2026 Sainsbury’s agreed to sell Argos to Swift Partners, a company set up by retail executives Richard Pennycook, Trevor Strain and Matt Truman with the investment firm True Capital, for cash proceeds of at least £120 million. Completion is expected in February 2027, and Sainsbury’s says Argos will trade as it does today until then, with no change for customers.

Mattresses at Argos

The range runs from budget open coil mattresses under the Argos Home label to pocket sprung and memory foam models from Silentnight, which supplies a large share of the adult mattresses on argos.co.uk. Most Argos Home mattresses are made in the UK and carry a 1-year manufacturer’s guarantee, while the Silentnight models Argos sells carry 5 years. Rolled mattresses count as small items that can be collected from a store, and flat mattresses are delivered as large items.

The 100-night comfort promise

Mattresses bought from Argos come with its 100-night comfort promise. It is an exchange rather than a refund trial: within the first 100 days you can swap the mattress once for another of the same size, paying or being refunded any price difference, as long as it is clean and undamaged. Argos recommends sleeping on a new mattress for four to six weeks before deciding. A refund for a change of mind is only available under the standard 30-day returns policy, for an unused mattress in its original packaging, and Argos charges a collection fee on large items returned this way.
