The Argos Home Hybrid 2400 Pocket is a 25cm pocket sprung mattress from Argos’s own label, built with two layers of springs and soft fibre fillings. Argos buyers rate it 4.6 out of 5 across almost 300 reviews and score its firmness 3.7 out of 5, as read on 5 October 2026. Argos does not publish a firmness grade of its own.

How it is built

A deep pocket spring unit does the main support work, with a layer of mini pocket springs above it to cushion the body. The “2400” in the name matches the king size: the Argos product pages list 1,370 springs in the single, 2,036 in the double and 2,411 in the king. The National Bed Federation’s Bed Advice UK guide describes mini springs as units that can be under 3cm tall and that provide “a highly resilient comfort layer” in place of traditional fillings.

Layers of soft white fillings sit on top, under a smooth knitted cover with a grey border. It is a no-turn mattress that should be rotated regularly, and it arrives flat and wrapped, not rolled.

Sizes and prices at Argos

Size Dimensions (cm) Argos price
Single 90x190 £255
Double 135x190 £330
King 150x200 £385

Prices were regular, with no sale running. There is no small double or super king. It is heavy, at 30.4kg in a single and 45.6kg in a double, so plan for two people to carry it.

Who it suits

The double spring layer gives a plush, cushioned surface with enough push-back for back sleepers, and the pocketed springs limit movement between partners. The weakness is the guarantee. Argos Home gives a 1-year manufacturer’s guarantee, against five years on the Silentnight mattresses Argos sells at a similar price. Argos’s 100-night comfort promise still allows one exchange for a mattress of the same size.

Unser Urteil

Fazit
„The Hybrid 2400 is the most substantial mattress we found in the Argos Home range, and its two layers of pocket springs give a deeper, more cushioned feel than the label's cheaper models. The 1-year guarantee is the catch, so weigh it against the five years Silentnight gives at a similar price.“
