Naturalmat discount codes & offers

Naturalmat is a British maker of natural-fibre mattresses, toppers and beds, founded in 1999 by Mark Tremlett and Peter Tindall and handmaking everything in its solar-powered workshop in Topsham, Devon. It sells only direct, through its own showrooms and naturalmat.co.uk, and uses natural latex, organic wool and cotton with no chemical fire retardants. Mattresses carry a 10-year guarantee and a 45-day Sleep Promise exchange, toppers a 2-year guarantee. Naturalmat has been a certified B Corp since February 2023, with a B Impact score of 96.3 against the 80 needed to qualify.

Naturalmat (Mattresses) is one of the brands whose offers and discount codes we check on an ongoing basis at Sleep Magazine. Benefits include 10-year warranty. These work like a permanent discount, because they save you delivery or return costs.

Naturalmat has made mattresses, toppers and beds by hand in Devon since 1999, using organic wool, coir, cotton and natural latex. Naturalmat’s own story page names Mark Tremlett and Peter Tindall as the founders, places the solar-powered workshop in Topsham on the banks of the River Exe, and says the company sells only through its own showrooms and website and that its products contain no plastics or VOCs. Companies House records The Natural Mat Co Limited as incorporated on 25 May 1999, with its registered office near Exeter.

Naturalmat has held B Corp certification since February 2023. Its B Lab directory profile shows an overall B Impact score of 96.3, where 80 qualifies and the median for ordinary businesses is 50.9. On 14 August 2026 the Lord-Lieutenant of Devon presented the company with a King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, its second award in that category after a Queen’s Award in 2020.

The Naturalmat range we review

Model	Type	Main materials	Depth (cm)	Firmness	From
Superb	Mattress	Hand-nested pocket springs, natural latex, organic wool	25	Soft, medium or firm (your choice)	£1,510
Tremendous	Topper	Latex core, cashmere and bamboo, organic wool	7	Medium	£690
Terrific	Topper	Latex core wrapped in organic wool	6	Medium	£610
Bovey	Topper	Thick latex core, organic wool	6	Medium-firm	£690
Frome	Topper	Two layers of organic British wool	2.5	Medium-soft	£340

Prices are the smallest size on naturalmat.co.uk in September 2026. The three latex toppers are among the dearest we review, with only the Woolroom Cheviot and Ryeland and the Hypnos Origins Supreme Comfort Layer starting higher, and even the 2.5 cm wool-only Frome starts above the 6 cm Latex Sense Luxury Dunlop latex topper. In our latex topper comparison the Tremendous ranks second, the Terrific seventh and the Bovey tenth. The Superb is second among our best latex mattresses, and the Frome closes our wool topper comparison in tenth place.

Guarantee and Sleep Promise

The Naturalmat guarantee page gives 10 years on adult and teen mattresses, beds and bases, 5 years on nursery mattresses and 2 years on adult toppers. It also warns that a small dip where the natural fibres compress is normal and not covered. The Sleep Promise is a 45-day exchange rather than a refund. It applies to bedroom and teen mattresses only, asks for a contribution of around £75 towards collection and redelivery, and excludes toppers, nursery and made-to-measure mattresses.

Who Naturalmat is for

Naturalmat suits buyers who put natural, traceable materials and UK workmanship first and are willing to pay for them, for instance someone who wants a latex topper with no synthetic foam anywhere in it. It is a poor fit if you want to try before committing. Toppers cannot be exchanged under the Sleep Promise, returns fall back on the 14-day returns policy with return postage at your cost, and the 2-year topper guarantee is short next to the 10 years Latex Sense puts on its latex toppers.
