Woolroom is a British wool bedding company founded in 2008 by a Bradford wool-merchant family, and it makes toppers, duvets and mattresses filled with traceable British wool. The Woolroom company history records the launch of its Wool ID traceability scheme in 2020, which lets you scan a QR code on products from the Organic and Deluxe washable ranges and trace the wool to its source farm, a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2021 and a King’s Award for Enterprise in 2026, both for international trade. Trials, warranty and delivery

Woolroom’s trial depends on what you buy. Its sleep trials page gives 30 nights on single bedding items, toppers and protectors included, and 60 nights on bedding bundles. Mattresses get 100 nights, but only when bought and used with a same-size Deluxe Washable or Organic Washable Woolroom mattress protector, you must sleep on the mattress for at least 60 nights first, and the refund excludes the protector. Junior and nursery mattresses are left out.

Cover varies just as much. The Woolroom warranty page lists 2 years for duvets, pillows, toppers and protectors, 12 months for the Woolly topper, 15 years for premium toppers, 5 years on a sliding scale for Classic mattresses and 15 years for the Artisan collection. According to the Woolroom delivery page, standard UK delivery is free over £100 and £4.95 below, and beds and mattresses go by a two-person crew to UK mainland addresses at no extra charge.

Who Woolroom suits

Woolroom is for buyers who want wool rather than foam and are willing to pay for it. A double Deluxe topper costs £217.49, while the Ryeland with its micro coils costs £749.25 in the same size, more than three times as much. The mattress trial is conditional and comes with a minimum sleep period, so check you want the protector anyway before counting on the 100 nights.
