The Origin Hybrid Pro is a 31cm, eight-layer hybrid with up to 5,300 pocket springs in seven zones plus a separate layer of micro-springs, and Origin describes its feel as medium-plush, softer than the medium-firm Origin Hybrid. It is aimed at side sleepers and couples, and a double costs £599.

Construction

Origin lists these layers on its Hybrid Pro product page:

Layer Material (Origin’s name) Job
1 HexAdapt Pro pillow top in Polar SilkTencel Zips off, machine washable at 40°C
2 HexaGrid Plus polymer layer Adaptive comfort
3 Graphite-infused latex Draws heat away from the body
4 Bamboo-infused wool Moisture wicking
5 AeroFlex micro-springs Contouring and motion isolation
6 Gel-infused CoolFlex foam Pressure relief
7 TitanCore pocket springs, 7 zones Up to 5,300 springs
8 DuraEdge perimeter Edge support

Origin publishes no numeric firmness figure for the Pro, only the medium-plush description, so our firmness rating is an estimate from that wording and the build.

Sizes, weights and prices

UK size Dimensions (cm) Net weight Price
Single 90 x 190 x 31 22.0kg £374
Small double 120 x 190 x 31 31.0kg £547
Double 135 x 190 x 31 36.0kg £599
King 150 x 200 x 31 42.0kg £652
Super king 180 x 200 x 31 48.3kg £802

Prices are Origin’s regular prices at the time of writing (September 2026); the higher “total value” shown on Origin’s page includes the two free pillows it bundles.

Temperature

Cooling gets more attention here than on the Hybrid. Origin adds a graphite-infused latex layer, which it says draws heat away from the body, to the bamboo-infused wool and gel-infused CoolFlex foam, and the micro-spring layer leaves room for air to move above the main core. Origin’s claim that the Pro sleeps cooler than its Hybrid comes from its own lab tests, so read it as a manufacturer claim.

Who it suits

The micro-spring layer lets shoulders and hips sink in further while the seven-zone core supports the lower back, so side sleepers and couples benefit most, and the double spring system limits motion when a partner turns over. It is softer than the medium-firm feel that a 2021 review of 39 studies (Caggiari et al.) linked with the best spinal alignment, so stomach sleepers and anyone who needs firm back support should pick the Origin Hybrid instead.

Origin Hybrid or Hybrid Pro?

The Hybrid Pro adds 5cm of depth, a micro-spring layer, graphite latex and two more spring zones over the Origin Hybrid. In a double that costs £599 against £410. Pay the difference if you sleep on your side or share with a restless partner; if you sleep on your back and like a firmer surface, the Hybrid gives you more of what you need for less.

Trial, warranty and delivery

The Hybrid Pro comes with a 200-night trial and full refund, the 15-year warranty and free next-day delivery to UK mainland addresses. Old mattress disposal is a £54 add-on, and at 48.3kg the super king is a two-person carry.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Hybrid Pro is the Origin most side sleepers and couples should choose, softer than the Hybrid, with a micro-spring layer that limits motion transfer and a graphite-infused latex layer aimed at heat. Stomach sleepers and anyone who wants a firm surface will be better served by the Origin Hybrid.”
