The Origin Hybrid Pro Clearance is the previous-cover version of the Origin Hybrid Pro, a 31cm, eight-layer hybrid with up to 5,700 titanium pocket springs in seven zones and a second layer of micro-springs. Origin sells it on a separate Hybrid Pro Clearance product page in all five UK sizes, at £539 for a double, and describes the feel as medium-plush.

How it differs from the current Hybrid Pro

Origin says its Clearance mattresses use “the previous mattress cover design without the removable top layer” and cost up to 10% less than the upgraded version. The comfort and spring layers are listed with the same materials, so the practical differences are the cover, the price and the free gifts.

Feature Hybrid Pro Clearance Hybrid Pro (current)
Top PolarSilk Tencel cover, fixed HexAdapt pillow top in PolarSilk Tencel, zips off
Depth 31cm 31cm
Comfort layers HexaGrid Plus, graphite-infused latex, bamboo-infused wool The same, under the zip-off top
Springs Micro-springs over up to 5,700 titanium pocket springs (Clearance page) Micro-springs over up to 5,300 pocket springs (product page)
Support zones 7 7
Free gifts (Autumn Sale to 5 October 2026) None 2 AirSoft Microfibre pillows
Trial and warranty 200 nights, 15 years 200 nights, 15 years

Origin quotes different spring counts on different pages for what it presents as the same core, so read both figures as upper limits rather than a real difference.

Sizes and prices

UK size Dimensions (cm) Net weight Clearance Current Hybrid Pro
Single 90 x 190 x 31 22kg £337 £374
Small double 120 x 190 x 31 31kg £467 £547
Double 135 x 190 x 31 36kg £539 £599
King 150 x 200 x 31 42kg £587 £652
Super king 180 x 200 x 31 48.3kg £722 £802

Prices are those on Origin’s UK site at the time of writing (September 2026), when every size could be ordered. The Clearance version cost about 10% less than the current Hybrid Pro in four sizes and about 15% less in the small double.

Who it suits

The seven-zone core and the micro-spring layer are designed to let shoulders and hips sink in while holding the lower back, which suits side sleepers and couples, and Origin says the micro-springs isolate motion when a partner turns over. Stomach sleepers and anyone who wants a firm surface should look at the Origin Hybrid instead. Because the top layer cannot be taken off and washed, budget for a washable mattress protector.

Trial, warranty and delivery

Clearance orders keep Origin’s 200-night trial with a full refund, the 15-year warranty and free next-day delivery to UK mainland addresses on orders placed before 9am. Origin’s free pillow offers exclude Clearance mattresses, and taking away your old mattress is a £54 add-on at checkout.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Hybrid Pro Clearance is the cheapest way into Origin's seven-zone, micro-spring build, about 10% below the current Hybrid Pro in most sizes, and it keeps the full 200-night trial and 15-year warranty. Buy it if you sleep on your side; pay more for the current Hybrid Pro if you want a top layer you can zip off and wash, or the free pillows Origin adds to it.”
