The Nectar Premier Memory Foam Mattress is a 28cm, six-layer all-foam mattress that Nectar rates 6 out of 10, a little softer than the Classic, with 60% more memory foam and a 12-zone honeycomb support base. It is the Nectar to choose if you share a bed and want the least motion transfer, or if you sleep on your side and found the Classic too firm at the shoulders.

Construction of the Nectar Premier

The layer list comes from Nectar’s Premier Memory Foam product page; four of the layers are CertiPUR certified foam, and Nectar says its mattresses are made in Derbyshire.

Layer What Nectar says it does
Soft cooling cover Polyester with 40% more cooling fibres than the Classic range
Dynamic support foam Breathable foam that adds airflow and some bounce
Memory foam Pressure relief, with 60% more memory foam than the Classic
Micro-zoned transition layer Honeycomb-cut foam between the comfort and support layers
Micro-zoned support base 12 zones, softer at the shoulders and firmer at the hips
Non-slip base Grips the bed frame

The honeycomb zoning is the real upgrade over the Classic. The foam is cut to give more under the shoulders and hold the hips, which is what a side sleeper needs, while back and front sleepers still get a supportive surface. A 2021 review of 39 studies in the Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Caggiari et al.) concluded that a medium-firm mattress promotes comfort, sleep quality and spinal alignment, and Nectar places the Premier squarely in that band.

Sizes and prices

UK size Dimensions (cm) Weight Price
Single 90 x 190 x 28 23.7kg £399
Double 135 x 190 x 28 33.6kg £649
King 150 x 200 x 28 37.7kg £749
Super king 180 x 200 x 28 44.5kg £849

Prices are Nectar’s regular prices at the time of writing (September 2026). There is no small double, which rules the Premier out for 4ft frames; the Classic and Classic Hybrid both come in 120 x 190cm.

Couples and heat

With no springs, movement barely travels across the bed, which is the main reason to choose the Premier over the Premier Hybrid if your partner is restless. Heat is the trade-off. The cover carries 40% more cooling fibres than the Classic range, but under it sits 28cm of solid foam, while the Premier Hybrid’s springs leave more room for air to move. Nectar adds that the range carries MTick certification for menopause-friendly products.

Trial and warranty

The 365-night home trial, free named-day delivery and Forever Warranty apply as on every Nectar mattress: a free replacement for a defect in the first ten years, then repair, re-cover or replacement for as long as you own it. If you return it within the trial, Nectar says it collects the mattress free and donates it to the British Heart Foundation.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“Choose the Premier Memory Foam if you share a bed or sleep on your side and found the Classic too firm; its 28cm build and honeycomb zoning justify the step up. Hot sleepers should compare it with the Premier Hybrid, which costs the same in a king and breathes better.”
