The Eve Pure Memory Mattress is a 25cm all-foam mattress with 15cm of memory foam in two layers, a graphite-infused top and a choice of medium or firm at the same price, made in the UK for Bensons for Beds and sold from £699.99 for a single. None of the other Bensons Eve models reviewed here, the Hybrid Uno, Duo and Duo Plus, offers that choice.

The layers

Layer Depth What Bensons says it does
3Dair spacer fabric top panel, zip-off Cover Zoned ventilation and a cool-to-touch surface; washable up to 40°C
Kontur memory foam with graphite particles 6cm Pressure relief, open cells and graphite for cooling
Super-responsive memory foam 9cm Contours to the body and recovers as you move
SuperFLEX core support 10cm Resilient base that holds the mattress shape

The three foam depths add up to the full 25cm. Kontur, 3Dair and SuperFLEX are technology names, not certifications, and Bensons names no certification for this model. It does say the mattress is made in a BSI Kitemark accredited factory.

Medium or firm

Both versions cost the same, so the choice is only about how you sleep. The medium suits side sleepers and anyone who likes the slow sink of memory foam. The firm is the better match for back and front sleepers and for heavier bodies. Neither extreme is necessary for a bad back. Bed Advice UK, the National Bed Federation’s consumer site, answers the question “Do I need a firm mattress for back pain?” with “Not necessarily”, and a Lancet trial of 313 adults found medium-firm mattresses eased chronic low back pain more than firm ones over 90 days.

Heat

Deep memory foam has a reputation for sleeping warm, which is what the graphite, the open-cell Kontur foam and the 3Dair fabric are there to counter. None of it has been independently tested for this model, so a cool bedroom still does more. The NHS Every Mind Matters guidance puts it simply: “You may find it easier to sleep in a room that is quiet, dark and cool.”

Sizes and prices

UK size Dimensions (cm) Regular price at Bensons
Single 90 x 190 £699.99
Double 135 x 190 £999.99
King 150 x 200 £1,199.99
Super king 180 x 200 £1,549.99

There is no small double. Bensons shows 4.6 out of 5 from 175 reviews at the time of writing (September 2026).

Guarantee and delivery

The Pure Memory has a 10-year guarantee, longer than the 8 years on the Bensons Eve hybrids, and a 40-day comfort promise. Under Bensons’ comfort guarantee terms that is a one-off exchange from night 5, for 10% of the original price plus re-delivery, not a refund. Delivery to the room of your choice costs £49. The drawback is price, as a Pure Memory double costs about twice as much as the Hybrid Uno in the same size.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Pure Memory is for people who specifically want the hug of deep memory foam, with a firm version for back and front sleepers. If price matters, the 24cm Eve Original gives a similar foam feel for much less.”
