Starlight Beds discount codes & offers

Starlight Beds is a West Yorkshire mattress manufacturer that sells low-cost rolled and boxed mattresses direct from its factory in Ossett, and it is known mainly for budget sprung and foam mattresses. The Starlight shop sells most models in UK sizes from a 75 x 175 cm shorty upwards, several up to a super king. Companies House lists Starlight Beds Limited, formerly Snuggledown Beds Limited, as incorporated on 10 November 2009 and registered at Royds Mills, Leeds Road, Ossett.

History and group

Starlight’s own story says the business began in 2009 as Snuggledown Beds, making contract mattresses, became part of The Sleep People in 2014, launched the Starlight mattress range in 2021 and has grown it to 12 mattresses, and added the Starlight Babies cot mattress brand in 2024. The Sleep People Limited was incorporated on 19 June 2014 at the same Ossett address, and The Sleep People is listed as a member of the National Bed Federation (certificate 26522120).

No trial, and strict returns

The Starlight refund policy gives 14 days from delivery to say you want to cancel and 14 more to send the mattress back, at your own cost, and only if the original plastic hygiene seal is completely intact. Once the seal is opened the mattress counts as used and can only be returned if it is faulty. In practice that means you cannot sleep on a Starlight mattress before deciding to keep it. The Starlight 09 product page states free delivery to most of the UK mainland and describes the mattresses as made in the UK and delivered vacuum-packed and rolled.

Where the Starlight 09 ranks

The Starlight 09 Pocket Sprung Mattress, a 22 cm micro pocket spring mattress with a memory fibre top, from £146.99, is ranked in our single mattress comparison. Starlight is worth a look if you are furnishing a guest room, a child’s bed or a rental and want a UK-made mattress in an exact UK or shorty size for a low price. It does not suit you if you need to try a mattress at home first, because an opened Starlight mattress cannot be returned unless it is faulty.
