Aspire 7000 Pocket Climate Cool Wool Dual Sided reviewed

The Aspire 7000 Pocket Climate Cool Wool Dual Sided is a two-sided, hand-tufted mattress with 1,000 nested pocket springs in the core and 3,000 micro springs under each face. One face is covered in Aspire’s Cool Blue fabric for summer, the other in woven damask for winter, and both are filled with wool. It is the top of Aspire’s Climate Cool line, at £949 for a 4ft6 double.

What the extra springs add over the 5000

The difference from the 5000 Climate Cool Dual Sided is 1,000 more micro springs per face, 3,000 instead of 2,000. Everything else, including the core, the wool and both covers, matches according to the cross-section on Aspire’s product page. More micro springs give a finer, more even surface that adapts to smaller movements, and you feel it most as a side sleeper. The weight is still carried by the same 1,000 full-height springs, so the support does not change. Aspire rates the feel medium-firm.

As the National Bed Federation notes, mini springs are used as a highly resilient comfort layer instead of more traditional fillings, and that is exactly their role here: they sit between the wool and the core on both sides.

Sizes and prices

Prices read on 15 October 2026, with no reduction on any size. Aspire quotes 10 to 15 working days for delivery of a flat mattress like this, because most are made to order, and delivery to the doorstep is free on the UK mainland. It costs the same as Aspire’s 7000 Wool Cashmere and Silk Dual Sided, which has the same springs with a cashmere and silk blend on both faces and no dedicated cooling side.

Living with it

Plan to turn it at the change of season, which also evens out how the wool settles, and rotate it head to foot in between. A king or super king with this much filling is a two-person job, helped by the side handles. There is no sleep trial, and Aspire’s returns policy excludes a mattress with a broken hygiene seal from the 14-day cancellation right unless it is faulty. The 5-year guarantee is pro rata after the first year, from 20% of the retail price in year two up to 70% in year five.
