The Simba Hybrid Luxe is a 31cm, nine-layer hybrid with up to 5,700 springs and a layer of British wool infused with bamboo, designed to feel plusher than the Hybrid Pro while keeping a steel edge. Simba calls the feel plush in its headline and medium-firm to plush in its range comparison, so we place it at 5 out of 10. Regular prices start at £1,249 for a single.

What is inside the Simba Hybrid Luxe?

The Luxe adds a third spring layer to the Pro’s recipe. The layers below are from Simba’s UK product page, with spring counts for a king.

Layer Material What it does
1. Cover Knitted cover, Stratos treatment, zip-off top Washable at 40°C; an inner cover protects the layers
2. Comfort 90% British wool, 10% bamboo Moisture-wicking, breathable top layer
3. Comfort Simbatex foam Cushioning with elasticity
4 and 5. Microsprings Two layers of Aerocoil springs in 13 zones, up to 3,800 Targeted support at back, hips and shoulders
6. Core CertiPUR foam Stability and airflow
7. Support springs Up to 900 high-carbon steel microsprings Extra support layer
8. Base springs SupportCore, up to 1,000 steel barrel springs Edge-to-edge support, no roll-off
9. Base High-density CertiPUR foam, recycled-yarn cover Foundation

How does it compare on temperature?

The Luxe tops its springs with a layer of 90% British wool and 10% bamboo, which Simba sells as moisture-wicking and breathable. How much the wool contributes is harder to pin down than the marketing suggests. A 2024 systematic review in the Journal of Sleep Research (Li, Halaki and Chow) found only nine studies comparing bedding and sleepwear fibres and called the relationship between fibre and sleep quality complex, with wool sleepwear helping sleep onset under some temperature conditions. The open spring layers are the more reliable cooling factor.

Who is the Luxe for?

Side sleepers and lighter couples who want more give at the shoulder than the Pro offers, without losing the steel perimeter. Back and stomach sleepers who like a firmer surface get better value from the Pro, which costs 28% less in a double. The Luxe is also sold in the continental 160x200 size but, unlike the Pro, not in 140x200. It is heavy enough that Simba fits the super king with eight carry handles instead of four, and recommends delivery to the room of your choice.

Regular prices for the standard version at the time of writing (September 2026). The optional HeatRelease graphite strips add £149 to £249 depending on size.

Size Dimensions (cm) Regular price
