The OTTY Pure+ Hybrid 4000 is a 28cm hybrid with up to 4,000 encapsulated pocket springs split across two layers, and at 5.5 out of 10 it is the softest mattress OTTY makes. It costs from £599.99 for a single and £829.99 for a double (September 2026), the most expensive of OTTY’s bed-in-a-box hybrids.

Construction

The OTTY product page lists more layers than any other OTTY hybrid. Instead of the single 16cm spring unit used in the Original and Pure, the Pure+ stacks an 8cm layer of 2,000 springs over a layer of 2,000 shorter 4cm springs, with foam between them and reinforced borders around both.

Layer Material What it does
1 Cover with 2cm viscoelastic memory foam Soft surface, removable and washable
2 Bamboo and charcoal memory foam Pressure relief, temperature regulation
3 2,000 encapsulated pocket springs, 8cm Upper support and contouring
4 High-density reflex foam Transition between spring layers
5 Drilled cooling memory foam Air circulation
6 2,000 encapsulated pocket springs, 4cm, with reinforced borders Lower support and edge
7 Airflow side supports around both spring layers Edge support and ventilation
8 High-density base foam Stable foundation

How the two spring layers feel

The soft first contact comes from the top: 2cm of memory foam inside the cover and a bamboo and charcoal memory foam layer below it. The upper 8cm springs then follow the shoulder and hip, and the lower layer and its reinforced borders stop heavier areas sinking too far. The drilled memory foam between the two spring layers is there for air circulation. Price climbs steeply with size, so compare the double and king figures below with the Pure’s before deciding.

Who it suits

Side sleepers and lighter people who want the shoulder and hip to sink in are the natural buyers of the Pure+, along with anyone who finds the 7/10 Original too hard. It is not the one for front sleepers, whose hips need a firmer surface, or for people over about 15 stone, who are better served by the Extra Firm. OTTY asks for a head-to-toe turn once a month for the first 12 months, then every three months.

UK size Dimensions (cm) Price (September 2026)
Single 90 x 190 £599.99
Double 135 x 190 £829.99
King 150 x 200 £929.99
Super king 180 x 200 £1,039.99

The Pure+ comes in the four standard UK sizes only, and it is the priciest of OTTY’s memory foam hybrids in every one of them. The usual OTTY terms apply: 100 nights to decide (with a 30-night minimum before a return), a 10-year guarantee and free two-person delivery to mainland UK addresses.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“Side sleepers who want a softer, deeper hybrid should start with the Pure+, which pairs two spring layers with a 5.5/10 feel, from £599.99 in a single. Front sleepers and heavier people should choose the Original or the Extra Firm instead.”
