Bensons for Beds discount codes & offers

Bensons for Beds is the largest specialist bed retailer in Britain by its own description, founded in 1950 by Cyril Benson as a general store and turned into a bed specialist when it opened its first dedicated bed centre in 1972. It is headquartered in Accrington, Lancashire, and has been owned since November 2019 by the private equity group Alteri Investors, which bought it from Steinhoff together with Harveys (company history).

Own labels and exclusive brands

More than half of the 247 mattress listings on bensonsforbeds.co.uk in October 2026 came from Bensons’ own labels or brands sold only there. The Bensons for Beds and Simply by Bensons labels cover everyday pocket sprung, memory and open coil models, mostly made in the UK in factories with the BSI Kitemark. Slumberland and Staples & Co are heritage names now sold only by Bensons, iGel NanoTech mattresses are exclusive to it, and in October 2022 Bensons bought the eve sleep brand out of administration for £600,000 (Retail Gazette). Stocked brands such as Sealy, Silentnight, TEMPUR, Simba, Hypnos and Dunlopillo sit alongside, several with models made exclusively for Bensons.

Guarantees and comfort exchange

The comfort guarantee is an exchange, not a refund, and it excludes refurbished, clearance and ex-display stock (40 night comfort guarantee). The Lifetime Guarantee runs on top of the manufacturer’s own five, eight or ten years and on top of your statutory rights. Bensons also sells refurbished mattresses at lower prices, which carry neither guarantee.
