The iGel NanoTech 6000i Plushtop is the top of the iGel range: a 38cm mattress with 6,000 pocket springs in three layers, a plush top and 85mm of graphene-infused cooling foam, the deepest cooling layer Bensons for Beds sells. It is new enough to have only 55 customer ratings on the Bensons site, averaging 4.5 out of 5 (October 2026).

How it is built

Bensons’ specification lists a triple-layer pocket spring system combining mini springs and full-height springs, 85mm of iGel NanoTech graphene foam, iGel foam with gel crystals and a plushtop layer, with AdvantEdge edge support and a quilted cover with TENCEL fibres. Compared with the 5000i, the next model down, that is 1,000 more springs, 5mm more graphene foam and 1cm more height.

Sizes and prices

Size Dimensions (cm) Price at Bensons
Single 90x190 £1,639.99
Small double 120x190 £1,759.99
Double 135x190 £1,759.99
King 150x200 £1,919.99
Super king 180x200 £2,239.99

At regular prices the 6000i costs £300 more than the 5000i in every size. Bensons’ 20% offer in October 2026 brought it below the 5000i for as long as it ran, which is the best time to buy one.

Who it suits

It is built for warm sleepers who want the most cushioned surface in the range and do not mind the bulk. Medium and firm are available; even the firm version keeps the plush top, so front sleepers should look elsewhere. A cool room helps any cooling mattress do its job, and the NHS advice on night sweats starts with keeping your bedroom cool at night before anything you buy.

The drawbacks

At 38cm it is the deepest iGel, so you will need extra-deep fitted sheets and possibly a lower base to keep the headboard in view. The step up from the 5000i is small for the money at regular prices, and the short ratings history means less customer evidence than for any other iGel. As across the range, Bensons offers a 10-year guarantee and a paid exchange under its 40 Night Comfort Guarantee, not a refund trial.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The 6000i is the deepest, most cushioned iGel, with the thickest cooling layer in the range. On paper it adds little over the 5000i for £300 more at regular prices, so it makes sense mainly when a sale narrows that gap.”
