Vispring’s Baronet Superb page rates it 5 on its 1 to 5 Feel Index, the firmest point, which we record as 8 out of 10. The firmness comes from dense natural fibre, and the horsehair keeps a firm surface breathable. There is no foam in the build.
Front sleepers need a surface that stops the hips sinking, and that is where the Baronet Superb earns its place. Lighter side sleepers need their shoulders to sink in, and firm upholstery with a firm tension will feel hard to them, so they should order a soft tension or choose the Elite. Bed Advice UK, run by the National Bed Federation, also cautions that a firm mattress is not necessarily the answer to back pain.

A king costs £2,729, the second-lowest king price among Vispring’s divan mattresses after the Elite. That makes it the cheapest way to get horsehair in a Vispring.
Horsehair means it is not suitable if you avoid animal fibres. Like the rest of the range it is double-sided, and the Vispring FAQ sets out a turning schedule that the 30-year guarantee assumes you follow, along with registration of the mattress.
