The Sleepeezee Memory Ultimate 4500 is a medium-firm, 26 cm hybrid that puts a double-depth layer of graphite memory foam over 4,500 pocket springs in two tiers. It is the entry model of Sleepeezee’s Memory Ultimate range, below the 6500 and 9500, and is sold through retailers such as Mattress Online, where it costs £949 in a single and £1,199 in a double at the time of writing (September 2026).

Construction

According to Sleepeezee’s product page, the spring count splits into 2,000 traditional pocket springs with full foam encapsulation and 2,500 mini comfort springs above them. Graphite is added to the memory foam so that air and moisture pass through and heat is drawn away from the body, and Mattress Online adds that the border has vents for airflow. The mattress is non-turn and hypoallergenic, with flag-stitched handles for rotating.

Firmness and who it suits

Sleepeezee grades the 4500 medium-firm, which we place at 6 out of 10. Back sleepers who want a stable base with a foam feel on top are the best fit, and the non-turn build keeps care to a head-to-toe rotation. Side sleepers with sensitive shoulders and hips may want more give at the surface. For them the Sleepeezee Jessica 1800, with 3 cm each of gel and memory foam over 1,800 springs, costs £865.62 in a double against £1,199 for the 4500.

Sleepeezee makes every mattress to order at its Rochester factory and quotes a tolerance of 2.5 cm on its measurements, which explains why its dimensions differ slightly from the standard UK sizes. Mattress Online adds a 10-year guarantee and a 100-night Comfort Trial, but the trial is an exchange rather than a refund, requires a protector bought from the retailer and a 30-night minimum. At 55 kg for a king, rotating it is a two-person job.
