Silentnight Mirapocket 2000 Deluxe Box Top Mattress reviewed

The Silentnight Mirapocket 2000 Deluxe Box Top is a 39cm pocket-sprung mattress with 2000 zoned Mirapocket springs under a deep, hand-tufted box top, rated medium/soft and priced from £760 for a single. It is the softest and deepest Silentnight mattress in our comparisons.

How it is built

The Silentnight product page describes a dual spring unit that adjusts to your weight and supports right up to the edge, with a box top that adds a second layer of cushioning. Silentnight recommends it for people who sleep on their back or side.

Who a medium-soft mattress suits

We score it 4 out of 10 for firmness, on the soft side of medium. That suits side sleepers, whose shoulders and hips need to sink in for the spine to stay straight, and lighter adults. It is a deliberate step away from the medium-firm feel that most research favours for back pain: a 2021 review of 39 studies (Caggiari et al., Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology) and a Lancet trial of 313 adults (Kovacs et al., 2003) both came out in favour of medium-firm. If back pain is your main reason for buying, a medium-firm Silentnight is the safer choice.

Sizes and prices

Prices are Silentnight’s regular prices, checked in September 2026. The page lists a small double in its dimension table, but it cannot be ordered. Every size is made to order, delivered within about 14 days and covered by a 5-year guarantee. If the box top turns out too soft, the 60-night comfort exchange lets you move to a firmer Silentnight model from night 28 onwards. It is not a refund, and it covers silentnight.co.uk orders only.

The two practical drawbacks are depth and price. At 39cm you will need extra-deep fitted sheets, and the price is well above the Memory Pocket 2000, which also has 2000 springs. Spread over the 7 to 8 years the National Bed Federation suggests as a mattress lifespan, the premium is easier to justify if softness is what you are after.

Weight matters with a soft mattress. Lighter adults get the most from the box top, while heavier sleepers compress it further and end up closer to the springs, which undoes much of the softness they paid for.
