The Harrison Spinks Caspian 13750 is a two-sided seasonal turn mattress from the brand’s newer, sea-named line, alongside the Aegean, Beaufort and Flores. Its 13,750 springs combine Cortec Quad pocket springs with dual layers of HD 3,000 and HD 2,500 micro springs and dual layers of Posturfil pocket springs, so each sleeping side has its own comfort springs. At Taskers a double cost £1,649 in October 2026.

Construction and fillings

According to the Harrison Spinks product page, the natural layers are a British wool and viscose blend, a British wool and hemp blend and a cotton and flax blend, finished with three rows of side stitching and a 25cm border. There is no foam or glue in the build. A separate Caspian Ortho, listed in the brand’s Ortho collection, adds a layer of homegrown hemp for a firmer feel; this review covers the standard seasonal turn model.

Feel and who it suits

The standard Caspian is made in gentle, medium and firm tensions. We describe the medium one and rate it 5 on our 1 to 10 scale. With micro springs doubled up on both faces, neither side is the poor relation, which suits back and side sleepers and couples who want the same feel after every turn. Front sleepers and heavier sleepers should ask for the firm tension or the Caspian Ortho.

Living with a seasonal turn mattress

Wool on one face and cotton and flax on the other give you a warmer and a cooler side. The Harrison Spinks care guide asks you to turn and rotate the mattress on alternate weeks for the first 12 weeks, then rotate it monthly and turn it twice a year, when the clocks change. Natural fillings take up to 12 weeks to settle, so a new Caspian can feel firmer than the showroom model at first.

Prices and where to buy

Harrison Spinks sells only through retailers, and prices vary between them: House of Reeves charged slightly more for a single and slightly less for a double than Taskers, whose prices are below. In every size we checked, the Caspian cost less than the Emerald 16500. Check the guarantee with the shop you buy from, because Harrison Spinks handles guarantee claims through the retailer.

Unser Urteil

Fazit
„The Caspian brings the newer dual-layer spring design to a mid-range price, and it is priced below the Emerald at the retailers we checked. A good choice if you want balanced comfort on both sides of a turnable mattress.“
