The Eve Wunderflip Ultimate Hybrid Mattress is a 28cm double-sided hybrid that puts a latex layer and 30mm of memory foam over 3,000 springs, with a medium side and a firm side that you choose by flipping it. It is the top model in the Wunderflip range on evesleep.co.uk, sold as a double, king or super king from £1,299 at the regular price.

What it adds over the Wunderflip Premium

Both Wunderflip hybrids share the same core: 1,000 full-height Reactive pocket springs, a firmer foam casing on one face and a softer one on the other, and a zip-off quilted comfort layer that you move to whichever side you sleep on. The Ultimate adds a latex layer, which Eve says moulds quickly to the body, and raises the extra pocket and micro springs from 1,500 to 2,000. Its memory foam is thinner, 30mm with seven drill zones against 50mm on the Wunderflip Premium Hybrid, so expect a springier top that hugs less.

The cover treatments

The quilted cover carries two finishes. Purotex+ is a probiotic textile technology from the Belgian fabric maker BekaertDeslee, which states that it lowers house dust mite allergens by up to 96.6% and that its performance is recognised by Allergy UK and OEKO-TEX. Eve adds Adaptive, a treatment it says helps regulate temperature and wick moisture. Both are manufacturer claims for the fabric, not measurements on this mattress.

Sizes and prices

UK size Dimensions (cm) Regular price at Eve
Double 135 x 190 £1,299
King 150 x 200 £1,399
Super king 180 x 200 £1,549

When we checked on 28 September 2026, Eve was selling all three sizes at half the regular price in a sale that ran until 29 September, and it discounts this model often, so compare the live price with the table before you pay. Eve’s shop showed 4.2 out of 5 from 130 customer reviews.

Who it suits

Two firmness levels help if you are unsure between medium and firm, or if your needs are likely to change. In a randomised trial of 313 adults with chronic low back pain, published in The Lancet (Kovacs et al., 2003), medium-firm mattresses improved pain and disability more than firm ones, so start on the medium side if your back is the reason you are buying. The drawback is the flip itself. Even with the comfort layer unzipped, turning a 28cm hybrid with 3,000 springs is a job for two people, which is why Eve fits handles to the sides.

Trial and warranty

Bought from Eve, it comes with the 200-night trial, free to return within the first 40 nights and with a collection fee from night 41 to night 200, and a 10-year warranty that requires slats no more than 70mm apart. Delivery is vacuum-packed and free to most UK addresses. Expert Reviews had not published a verdict on this model at the time of writing, so our score rests on its specification, price and Eve’s terms.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“Choose the Wunderflip Ultimate if you want the springier feel of latex over the most springs Eve fits, with two firmness levels to pick from. Buy it in one of Eve's sales, because at the regular £1,299 for a double the Wunderflip Premium Hybrid, with its 5-star Expert Reviews verdict, is the safer spend.”
