The Dunlopillo Millennium is a medium-feel latex mattress and the deepest model in Dunlopillo’s Core collection, 26 cm according to Dunlopillo, with the thickest layer of natural Talalay latex in the range. MattressNextDay sells it from £1,169 for a single. It is the most expensive Core model and suits side sleepers and couples who want deep, springy cushioning.

What is inside

Dunlopillo’s Core collection page describes the same three components in every Core mattress; the Millennium simply carries the most latex. MattressNextDay’s product page calls it “a deep layer of Talalay latex”.

Component Material What Dunlopillo says it does
Cover Dunlopillo Plus quilted fabric Keeps the sleeping surface 1°C below body temperature
Comfort layer 100% natural Dunlopillo Talalay latex, deepest in the Core range Contours to the body with a buoyant feel and pressure relief
Support core VENTRA Core Performance System aerated foam Channels air through the mattress to disperse heat

The weights MattressNextDay publishes give a useful sense of how much more material goes into it. A double Millennium weighs 34 kg, against 23 kg for the same size of the entry-level Firmrest. Dunlopillo quotes 26 cm deep, while MattressNextDay and Land of Beds list 24.5 cm.

Sizes and prices

Size Dimensions (cm) Net weight Price
Single 90 x 190 23 kg £1,169
European single 90 x 200 24 kg £1,235
Small double 120 x 190 not listed £1,949 at Land of Beds only
Double 135 x 190 34 kg £1,649
King 150 x 200 39 kg £1,849
Super king 180 x 200 47 kg £2,099

Prices and weights are MattressNextDay’s at the time of writing (September 2026), apart from the small double, which only Land of Beds lists. A 47 kg super king is a two-person job to rotate.

Feel and who it suits

MattressNextDay rates the Millennium medium and says it suits any sleeping position. Because it has the deepest latex and Dunlopillo positions it as the most cushioned model, we place it at the soft end of medium, 4 out of 10. The extra depth lets a side sleeper’s shoulder and hip sink in, and latex springs back quickly, so it avoids the slow, stuck feeling of dense memory foam. Front sleepers, especially heavier ones, may find the hips dip too far.

A medium rating also lines up with the evidence on back pain. In a Lancet trial of 313 adults with chronic low-back pain (Kovacs et al., 2003), those given a medium-firm mattress had better outcomes for pain in bed, pain on rising and disability after 90 days than those on a firm one.

Allergies, manufacturing and guarantee

Dunlopillo calls Talalay latex hypoallergenic and anti-microbial, but the NHS names latex among the common allergy triggers, so check with the retailer if you have a latex allergy. MattressNextDay lists the Millennium as made in the UK, free of animal by-products and built by an approved member of the National Bed Federation, whose members are audited by SATRA against the NBF Code of Practice.

It carries a 15-year Dunlopillo guarantee. There is no sleep trial from Dunlopillo, which sells only through stockists, and we found none on this model at MattressNextDay. Delivery from MattressNextDay is free and next day on orders placed by 6pm.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Millennium is the Core model to buy if you sleep on your side or share the bed and want deep natural latex with a 15-year guarantee. Front sleepers and anyone who wants a firmer surface will find the Firmrest cheaper and better suited.”
