Dunlopillo makes Talalay latex mattresses in the UK and sells them through bed shops and online stockists rather than from a checkout of its own. The UK brand is run by Relyon Beds Limited of Station Mills, Wellington, which Companies House lists as incorporated on 23 July 2020 (as Michco 2001 Limited, renamed that August) with mattress manufacture as its main activity. The National Bed Federation member list names Relyon and Dunlopillo as the company’s brands.

The latex itself is older than the company. Dunlopillo’s heritage page credits Dunlop scientists led by E.A. Murphy with inventing Dunlopillo latex foam in the 1920s to 1940s, when it padded seats on trams, trains and aircraft before it went into mattresses.

Depths are from the Dunlopillo Core page, which gives all three a 100% natural Talalay sleeping surface; prices are MattressNextDay’s single-size prices in September 2026. Stockists do not always agree with the brand on dimensions. The MattressNextDay Firmrest listing gives about 19.5 cm rather than 21 cm, so measure your bed frame against the retailer’s figure before you order. The same listing describes the Firmrest as single-sided and no-turn, made in the UK by an NBF-approved manufacturer, with a 15-year Dunlopillo guarantee.

Who should consider Dunlopillo

Dunlopillo suits sleepers who want the buoyant, fast-recovering feel of Talalay latex in a no-turn mattress, and who like to lie on one in a shop first. It is harder to recommend if you want to buy direct or rely on a long home trial. Dunlopillo publishes no sleep trial of its own, so returns depend entirely on the stockist, and the prices sit well above boxed foam mattresses.
