The Dormeo Octaspring 9500 Latex is a 30cm medium mattress that puts a 4cm latex comfort layer over three layers of Octaspring foam springs, and Dormeo calls it its flagship Octaspring mattress. A UK double costs £2,579 at the time of writing (September 2026), with no offer running on it.

What is inside

The Octaspring 9500 Latex page on dormeo.co.uk describes a latex layer on top, two zoned Octaspring layers and a supportive Octaspring foundation. Its specification table gives the depth as 30cm, while the product copy says 31cm; we use the table figure.

Layer What it does
4cm latex comfort layer Cushions and springs back as you move, for a more buoyant surface than memory foam
Upper Octaspring layer, 3 zones Softer under the head, shoulders and legs, firmer under the hips
Middle Octaspring layer, 5 zones Firmer where the body is heavier, softer where it is lighter
Octaspring foundation Spreads body weight and adds stability
Superstretch cover Stretches up to 50% more than standard fabric; removable, washable top section, Ecofresh treatment and side handles

How it differs from the Octaspring 8500

The 9500 shares its three-layer Octaspring core with the Dormeo Octaspring 8500 and changes the comfort layer: latex on the 9500, 4cm of memory foam on the 8500. Dormeo grades the 9500 medium and the 8500 medium/soft, and we put the 9500 at 5 out of 10 for firmness. Latex recovers its shape faster than memory foam, so the 9500 suits people who dislike the slow sink of memory foam and change position often during the night. That change costs about 16% more in a single: £1,999 for the 9500 against £1,719 for the 8500 at regular prices.

Who it suits

A medium feel matches the research for most sleepers. A 2021 review of 39 studies by Caggiari et al. in the Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology concluded that a medium-firm mattress promotes comfort, sleep quality and spinal alignment. The firmer middle zones under the hips make the 9500 a closer fit for back sleepers than the softer 8500, while side sleepers get the three softer comfort zones at the shoulder. Anyone with a latex allergy should look elsewhere, because Dormeo lists latex among the materials. Only 11 buyers had reviewed the 9500 on Dormeo’s site in September 2026, averaging 4.5 out of 5, which is too few to lean on.

Trial, warranty and delivery

The 9500 comes with Dormeo’s 200-night trial, and because it uses Octaspring technology Dormeo collects it free if you send it back. The Octaspring warranty covers the core for 20 years once the mattress is registered: in full for the first five years, then on a sliding scale that reduces the cover by 25% in year six and by 99% in year twenty. The cover itself is guaranteed for one year, and the same terms set a limit of 22 stone per side and slats no more than 7.5cm apart. Dormeo quotes free delivery in 10 to 14 days.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Octaspring 9500 Latex suits back and side sleepers who want Dormeo's deepest zoned build with the springier feel of latex instead of memory foam. It costs about 16% more than the Octaspring 8500 in a single, so it is a choice for buyers who already know they prefer latex.”
