Sofabed Gallery Gutscheincode & Aktionen

Sofabed Gallery is a Hull-based sofa bed retailer that sells its own range of replacement sofa bed mattresses, made to its specification in the UK, alongside sofa beds from British upholstery makers. The Sofabed Gallery home page says its first web store went live in 2001, names Gainsborough, Alstons and Buoyant Upholstery among the manufacturers it stocks, and gives a showroom address at Venture Business Park, Kingston upon Hull.

Nine grades of replacement mattress

The replacement mattress page lists nine grades, split by the mechanism they are built for. Thin mattresses of 6 to 7.5cm suit 3-fold “trampoline” actions, which fold the mattress twice; deeper ones of 10 to 12cm suit 2-fold webbed or slatted actions, which fold it once; and a 195cm-long memory foam version suits roll-out mechanisms.

Widths run from 76cm for a chair bed to 144cm for a large double, with lengths of 180 to 182cm on most grades. Sofabed Gallery states that its mattresses comply with the domestic flammability tests of BS 7177 and BS EN 597-1 and 597-2 and carry the flammability label, and that only the Deluxe Sprung grade can be upgraded to the CRIB 5 level required for hotels and guest houses.

Buying terms

Prices are shown against a higher list price. Single sizes go out by tracked courier in one to two days and double sizes on a delivery date you select, with items not in stock marked at four weeks. The shop advertises easy returns rather than a sleep trial, and asks you to measure the mattress you are replacing, or phone, before ordering. Both Sofabed Gallery mattresses we review rank in our best sofa bed mattresses comparison.
