Simba Black Friday deals: what to expect and which mattress to buy

Simba’s 2026 Black Friday offer is not out yet, and for now only verified key workers, students, carers and some other groups get money off. Here is what Simba cut in past Novembers, how the regulator’s rules shape its sale and which Simba mattress is worth buying.

Simba has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer yet. On 27 October 2026 every Simba mattress was at full price on simbasleep.com, and the only reduction was a group discount of up to 26%. Simba’s Black Friday headline was 45% off in 2023, 25% in 2024 and up to 30% in 2025. For most buyers the mattress to watch is the Simba Hybrid, and the price to beat is the group discount you may already qualify for.

What Simba offers before Black Friday

The live Simba offer is a group discount rather than a sale. Key workers, students and young people, education staff, carers and charity workers get up to 26% off everything once they verify their status with gocertify on Simba’s discounts page. Simba gives no end date for it. It “cannot be used in conjunction with any other Simba promotion or offer”, so once a Black Friday sale starts you will be choosing one or the other.

Everyone else pays the list price for now. The other way to pay less today is Simba’s refurbished range: returned mattresses that Simba inspects, repairs with new parts and deep-cleans. On 27 October 2026 a refurbished Hybrid Pro cost £699 in a double, against £1,299 new, and a refurbished Hybrid cost £549 against £899. What you give up is protection. A refurbished mattress comes with a 30-night trial and a one-year guarantee, where a new one has Simba’s 200-night trial and a ten-year guarantee.

Simba Black Friday deals in previous years

Simba’s headline Black Friday percentage has not returned to the 45% of 2023.

Year Headline offer When Example Source
2023 45% off RRP on the Hybrid Essential, Original, Pro, Luxe and Ultra 8 to 24 November 2023 Free mattress protector with a Hybrid Pro, Luxe or Ultra Simba’s offer terms
2024 25% off the Hybrid Essential, Original, Pro, Luxe and Ultra in all sizes Live by 25 November 2024 Hybrid double down from £799 to £599.25 T3, 25 November 2024
2025 Up to 30% off selected mattresses Live by 27 November 2025 Hybrid Pro king down from £1,299 to £948, with two AeroDown pillows Expert Reviews, 27 November 2025
2026 Not announced on 27 October 2026 Black Friday is Friday 27 November Up to 26% off for verified groups only Simba’s discounts page

The 2023 figure was measured against an RRP, the kind of reference price the regulator went on to question. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) opened an investigation into Simba on 15 December 2023, three weeks after that sale ended, and its press notice of August 2024 records that Simba had on occasion used “RRP” in place of a “was” price.

List prices have moved too. The Hybrid Pro king that Expert Reviews saw at £1,299 before its 2025 discount is £1,399 on Simba’s site at the time of writing, and the Hybrid double that T3 listed at £799 in 2024 now costs £899. A 2026 percentage will be taken off today’s prices, so compare the pounds you would pay with last year’s sale price rather than comparing banners.

What the CMA rules mean for a Simba sale

Simba’s discounts run under formal undertakings it gave the CMA in 2024, which the CMA accepted in a revised form on 22 September 2026. They admit no breach of the law but put numbers on a genuine discount. Under the revised undertakings, Simba can show a “was” price or accept a discount code on a mattress only after that exact model, in that size, has been on sale at the higher price for at least 28 days in a row and has sold at least once at that price without a discount. For a Black Friday or Boxing Day sale the qualifying period drops to 21 days.

The 2026 revision also lengthened the sale. A discount now ends once Simba has sold twice as many at the reduced price as at full price, or once as many days have passed as the full-price period lasted. The 2024 wording ended it 31 days after the full-price period began, so a sale built on 21 days at full price can now run up to 21 days instead of about ten. Our Black Friday mattress guide covers the CMA’s reference-price principles for the whole market.

Simba may not run a countdown clock if the same mattress, or a close substitute, goes back on promotion within 30 days of the clock running out, so a Simba timer should mean what it says. The group discount is not bound by the was-price rules, because the undertakings class reductions for verified key workers, students and carers separately from ordinary discounts. When the first undertakings were signed, Hayley Fletcher, then the CMA’s interim senior director of consumer protection, said misleading countdown clocks and false pricing claims “risk pressuring customers into making purchases in haste” (CMA press notice, 1 August 2024).

Which Simba mattress to buy in the sale

Simba’s adult range splits into the Hybrid models, which combine foam with microsprings, and the foam-free Natural Hybrids, which put British wool over the springs. Here is each one’s list price in a UK double and king, the figure any Black Friday price has to beat.

Mattress Depth Feel Double (135x190) King (150x200) Best for
Hybrid Essential 20cm Medium-firm £699 £799 Best for a Simba on a tighter budget
Hybrid 25cm Medium-firm £899 £999 Best all-rounder for most sleepers
Hybrid Pro 28cm Medium-firm £1,299 £1,399 Best for couples and back sleepers
Hybrid Luxe 31cm Medium £1,799 £1,899 Best for side sleepers
Hybrid Ultra 34cm Medium-soft £2,399 £2,599 Best for a deep, plush feel
Natural Hybrid Source 28cm Medium-firm £1,299 £1,399 Best value without foam
Natural Hybrid Escape 30cm Medium £1,799 £1,899 Best foam-free choice with a medium feel
Natural Hybrid Apex 32cm Medium-soft £2,199 £2,399 Best plush foam-free choice

Simba’s list prices before any Black Friday reduction, checked on 27 October 2026. Depth from Simba, feel as rated in our reviews.

The Simba Hybrid is the one most people should buy, in the sale or out of it. Its springy medium-firm surface suits back and front sleepers and most side sleepers. The Hybrid Pro scores a little higher overall in our review, but the Hybrid costs £999 in a king against £1,399 for the Pro, and for one sleeper of average weight that difference buys little you would feel. Move up the range only for a reason the Hybrid cannot meet, and our ranking of the best Simba mattresses sets out those reasons model by model.

When the Hybrid Pro is worth the extra

The Simba Hybrid Pro earns its higher price for couples, heavier sleepers and anyone who spends most of the night on their back. It adds a second layer of microsprings and a base of steel springs, up to 4,800 springs across three layers, with British wool under the cover. It is still medium-firm, so side sleepers who find the Hybrid hard at the shoulder should look at the softer Luxe. For a couple, though, the steel base keeps the edges firmer when either of you sits on the side of the bed. That firmer edge and the second spring layer are what the higher king price pays for, and two people sharing the bed are the ones who use them every night.

Cheaper ways into a Simba

The Simba Hybrid Essential is the least expensive mattress in Simba’s adult range, at £699 in a double. It is 20cm deep, with up to 1,000 microsprings over a five-zone foam base against the Hybrid’s 1,900, which makes it the lighter-duty choice. There is no super king. It keeps the same 200-night trial and ten-year guarantee as the dearer models, and for a guest room or a single sleeper it is the sensible place to save.

Our recommendation

Simba Hybrid Essential Mattress

Our pick for an easy-clean bed: a 20cm hybrid whose knitted top zips off for a 40°C machine wash.

If your mattress still supports you but has gone hard or tired on top, a topper can be the better Black Friday buy. Simba’s Hybrid Topper puts up to 1,900 microsprings into a 6.5cm layer, and our Simba toppers comparison sets it against the cheaper versions.

Frequently asked questions

When does the Simba Black Friday sale start?

Simba has not announced a date for 2026. Its 2023 sale started on 8 November and ended on 24 November, and in 2024 and 2025 the reductions were live in the week of Black Friday. Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, and Simba’s undertakings define a Black Friday sale as one that starts before that day and runs through it.

Can I combine the Simba key worker discount with the Black Friday sale?

No. Simba’s terms say the group discount cannot be combined with any other Simba promotion. Price your size both ways and take the lower figure.

Does the 200-night trial cover a mattress bought in the sale?

Simba’s trial page lists no exclusion for sale orders. The 200 nights start on delivery, and Simba collects a return free and refunds everything except special delivery costs. A refurbished mattress has a 30-night trial instead.

Can I buy a Simba mattress in a shop on Black Friday?

Yes, at Bensons for Beds, which stocked Simba’s Hybrid range in 50 UK stores by November 2025 according to Furniture News. A retailer sets its own sale price and its own returns terms, and Simba’s 2023 Black Friday prices applied only to orders on Simba’s website. Check whose trial covers you before you pay in a shop.

Can I spread the cost of a Simba mattress bought on Black Friday?

Yes. Simba’s finance page offers 0% APR over 3, 6 or 12 months through Splitit on a Visa or Mastercard credit card (orders from £150, no credit check) or V12 Retail Finance (from £250, with a credit check), and 24 months at 0% on spends of £2,000 or more. V12’s longer plans of 36 or 48 months, and its 24-month plan below £2,000, charge from 13.9% APR, so check which plan you are being offered before you sign.

Which Simba mattress is best for side sleepers?

The Simba Hybrid Luxe, a 31cm mattress with a medium feel and a wool and bamboo comfort layer that lets the shoulder and hip sink further than the medium-firm Hybrid. It costs £1,799 in a double before any discount.

Our verdict

Simba’s Black Friday deal is worth waiting for if you do not qualify for its group discount and your current mattress will last another month. If you do qualify, the group discount is already close to the 25% and up to 30% that Simba’s last two Black Friday sales advertised, so buying now with it costs you little. Either way, buy the Hybrid unless you share the bed and want firmer edges, in which case pay for the Pro, or you sleep on your side and want a softer top, in which case choose the Luxe. Note today’s price for your size, because under the 2026 rules a genuine Simba Black Friday price must sit below a price Simba charged for at least three weeks first. For other brands’ November offers, our ranking of the best Black Friday mattress deals applies the same checks, and the Simba brand page keeps Simba’s current offers up to date.
