The Aspire 7000 Pocket Climate Cool Wool Pillowtop is the most heavily sprung cooling mattress Aspire sells: 1,000 full-size pocket springs and 6,000 micro springs under a wool-filled pillowtop and a Cool Blue fabric cover. A 4ft6 double is £510, the same as the 7000 Wool Cashmere and Silk Pillowtop, so the two differ only in what touches your skin.

Reading the 7,000

As across Aspire’s numbered range, only 1,000 springs are full height. The other 6,000 are micro tablet springs split into two layers of 3,000: one inside the pillowtop and one in the main body above the core. That is a lot of small springs for the price, and they are what make the 7000 feel more cushioned and more even across the surface than the 3000 and 5000 models. They do not make it more supportive for a heavier sleeper, because the load still goes into the same 1,000-spring framed unit. Aspire rates the feel medium-firm.

Climate Cool pillowtop Micro springs 4ft6 double
3000 2,000 £430
5000 4,000 £470
7000 6,000 £510

The cooling comes from the cover, Aspire’s Cool Blue tufted panel fabric, and from wool in the pillowtop instead of the cashmere and silk blend. Wool is the better of the two at moving moisture away from the body, and the National Bed Federation describes it as breathable and naturally resilient. The rest of the build, from the cotton and recycled polyester rebound layer to the recycled felt insulators, matches the cashmere model on Aspire’s product page.

Sizes and prices

Size Mattress size (cm) Aspire price
Small single (2ft6) 75 x 190 £320
Single (3ft) 90 x 190 £370
Small double (4ft) 120 x 190 £450
Double (4ft6) 135 x 190 £510
King (5ft) 150 x 200 £570
Super king (6ft) 180 x 200 £650

Prices read on 15 October 2026. Each size is shown against a much higher “was” price, £1,299 on the double, but the same reduced price appears in an archived copy of Aspire’s pillowtop range from March 2026, so it is not a time-limited sale.

Terms and practicalities

This is a heavy, hand-tufted mattress. It cannot be flipped because of the pillowtop, so rotate it every few weeks at first while the natural fillings settle. Aspire offers no sleep trial, and its returns policy rules out change-of-mind returns once the hygiene seal is broken. The 5-year guarantee is pro rata after year one, with you paying between 20% and 70% of the retail price for a replacement depending on its age.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“Choose the 7000 Climate Cool Pillowtop if you sleep warm and want the deepest, most cushioned surface Aspire makes; at its standing price it costs less than many single-layer pocket mattresses. Heavier sleepers gain little over the 5000, since both rest on the same 1,000-spring core.”
