Aspire Pocket+ 3000 Memory Cooler Mattress

Firmness: MediumThe firm member of Slumberland's Air range: 2,550 springs under 50mm of zoned memory foam, sold in firm and extra firm.
The Slumberland Air 3.0 Memory is a 30cm pocket sprung mattress with a 50mm layer of zoned memory foam, and it is the only Air model that Bensons for Beds sells in firm and extra firm alone. It suits back and front sleepers who like the soft first touch of memory foam but want a flatter, more supportive bed than the softer Air models give.
| Component | What Bensons lists |
|---|---|
| Cover | Cool-touch knitted fabric with a Pro-bio treatment against dust mite allergens |
| Quilting | Truecomfort fibres, 75% recycled PET |
| Comfort layer | 50mm Sensaform memory foam in seven zones, cut with air channels |
| Upper springs | 1,300 mini pocket springs |
| Main springs | 1,250 full-height nested pocket springs |
| Edge | Dynamic reinforced edge support |
Slumberland nests the full-height springs in a staggered pattern and claims 20% more support than a standard pocket unit, and it says the channelled foam is five times more breathable than standard memory foam (Air 3.0 product page at Bensons). The 1,300 mini springs are what separate it from the cheaper Air 2.0. The National Bed Federation’s mattress buying guide describes mini spring units as a way of “providing a highly resilient comfort layer”, and here they sit between the foam and the main unit, so the surface pushes back quickly when you turn over.
We rate the Firm version 7 on our 1 to 10 scale. Expect a cushioned first touch from the foam and quilting, then a solid base that keeps the hips level for back sleepers and stops them dipping for front sleepers. The extra firm option suits heavier sleepers and anyone used to a traditional firm mattress. Most side sleepers will find both versions hard at the shoulder and are better served by the Air 6.0 in medium or soft.
Bensons lists two marks for the Air 3.0: the Good Housekeeping Institute endorsement for 2026 and the MTick, a menopause-friendly accreditation run by GenM. The NHS lists hot flushes and night sweats among the common symptoms of menopause, so a surface designed to shed heat is a fair thing to look for, although memory foam still holds more warmth than natural fillings.
A single costs £579.99 and a double £684.99. The mattress is single-sided with handles for rotating, made in the UK and covered by an 8-year guarantee. Bensons’ 40 night comfort guarantee lets you exchange it once, between night 5 and night 40, for 10% of the price plus a re-delivery charge.
