TEMPUR EASE 25 reviewed

The TEMPUR EASE 25 is the deepest mattress in TEMPUR’s EASE range, a 25cm medium firm foam mattress with 3cm of TEMPUR Adapt Material over base foam. A 135x190 double lists at £1,399 on TEMPUR’s UK shop, against £2,299 for the 21cm PRO SmartCool, which makes it the least expensive route to a deep TEMPUR mattress.

The 5cm the EASE 25 adds over the EASE 20 is base foam, not extra TEMPUR material. That gives heavier sleepers more depth before they feel the frame, within TEMPUR’s rating of approximately 150kg per side, and it looks proportionate on a deep divan or ottoman. The surface contour stays light because the comfort layer is still 3cm, so this is a supportive mattress rather than a sink-in one. A double weighs 26.0kg unboxed, only 3.5kg more than the EASE 20, so the extra depth costs little in handling.

Who should look elsewhere? Side sleepers who want the shoulder to sink well into the mattress will find 3cm of TEMPUR material shallow at any depth, and the 25cm PRO Plus with 5cm of Advanced Material suits them better, at nearly twice the price in a double. Hot sleepers should also note the plain EASE cover.

That balance fits the evidence on firmness. A systematic review of 24 controlled trials in Sleep Health (Radwan et al., 2015) concluded that a mattress rated medium-firm and custom inflated (self-adjusted) was optimal for sleep comfort, sleep quality and spinal alignment. The EASE 25 is a fixed foam mattress, so only the medium-firm half of that finding applies to it. Medium firm is also the only feel it is sold in, so there is no risk of ordering the wrong grade.

UK sizes, list prices and weights

The cover comes off and washes at 30°C, and there is no cooling fabric, so the EASE 25 sleeps warmer than the PRO SmartCool models with their heat-absorbing covers. TEMPUR states on its country of origin and safety page that the TEMPUR material is made in Denmark and that its UK mattresses meet the BS 7177 low-hazard fire test.

List prices in September 2026 run from £1,049 for a 75x200 small single to £1,699 for a super king, and TEMPUR offers often reduce them. Direct orders get free delivery to mainland UK, with next working day delivery on stocked sizes, the 100-night trial (60 nights minimum) and the 10-year guarantee.
