Futons247 Monk Futon Bed Roll
7.3/10A thin, firm lambswool and cotton-felt bed roll hand-made in Devon, that straps into…
Härte: FestA 30 cm medium pillowtop from the John Lewis Waitrose Wool range, with a wool-filled top layer that cushions side sleepers.
The John Lewis Waitrose Wool 1800 Pillowtop is the side sleeper’s choice in the Waitrose Wool range: a 30 cm, medium-tension mattress whose separate top layer is filled with British wool. A Double costs £1,029, and the model averages 4.6 out of 5 from 34 reviews on the John Lewis product page (October 2026).
John Lewis’s cross-section, drawn for a King, puts 2.1 kg of British wool traceable to Waitrose and assured UK farms and 2.1 kg of recycled polymer fibre into the pillowtop alone. Below it, more fibre layers sit either side of 1,800 pocket springs in a King, or 1,539 in a Double. That extra wool is what separates the 1800 from the two-sided 1600: it gives the shoulder and hip room to sink in when you lie on your side.
Because the comfort sits on top, the 1800 cannot be turned. The care label asks only for rotation, head to foot, which is less work but means one surface takes all the wear. Pillowtops tend to show body impressions first, and the 7-year guarantee covers faults rather than normal settling. Rotating it every few months spreads that settling between the two ends of the bed.

| Single | 90x190 | £749 |
| Small double | 120x190 | £1,029 |

The King was out of stock online when we checked on 4 October 2026; zip and link versions are also listed.
Standard delivery costs £19.95. The mattress is covered by the John Lewis 60-Night Comfort Trial, which allows one exchange for a different model after at least 30 nights, provided you bought a mattress protector in the same order. It is not a money-back trial.
The wool means it is not suitable for vegans, and back or front sleepers may find a medium pillowtop too yielding under the hips. The medium-firm Waitrose Wool 1600 suits them better.

„We recommend the Waitrose Wool 1800 Pillowtop to side sleepers who like the Waitrose Wool range but want more cushioning than the medium-firm 1600 gives. Back and front sleepers are better served by the firmer 1600.“Zum Shop →
