Inofia Cooler Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper reviewed

The Inofia Cooler Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper is an 8cm topper made of 2cm of gel-infused GELEX memory foam on top of 6cm of lavender-infused Reliefoam, inside a removable cover you can put in the washing machine. It is the only topper in Inofia’s UK shop, sold in five sizes from single to super king with a 100-night home trial and free delivery and returns.

These are regular prices. When we checked in September 2026, Inofia had cut every 8cm size except the king, which has no reference price, so the single was £129.99 and the double £209.99. A 10cm version is also sold, but only in double and king.

How it feels

Inofia describes a medium feel, which we score 5 out of 10. The thin gel layer contours around shoulders and hips, while the thicker Reliefoam underneath stops you sinking straight through to the mattress. That combination suits back and side sleepers on a mattress that feels too hard; stomach sleepers usually want something thinner.

Memory foam reacts to temperature, and Inofia says so itself: the foam gets stiffer and recovers more slowly in a cold room. Memory foam also holds body heat, which is the problem the gel layer and the breathable cover are meant to reduce.

Certification and care

The product page and gallery carry the CertiPUR-US mark. Foams certified under the CertiPUR-US programme are made without formaldehyde, ozone depleters or heavy metals and have low VOC emissions, below 0.5 parts per million. The cover unzips for the washing machine. The foam core itself should not be washed.

What a topper cannot fix

No topper can level out a mattress that already sags or has softened a lot over time, because the foam follows the dip, and the Inofia is no exception. Use it to change the feel of a sound mattress, and use the 100-night trial to check it suits you. No warranty term is stated for the topper itself.
