GC 2cm Bamboo Mattress Topper reviewed

The GC 2cm Bamboo Mattress Topper from Gaveno Cavailia is a thin memory foam layer in a white cover printed with green bamboo motifs, priced from £35.99 for a single. At 2cm it takes the edge off a firm or guest mattress for little money, but it does not change how well the bed supports you.

What you get

Gaveno Cavailia’s product page lists the material as memory foam, the colours as white and grey, and the care as wipe clean only. It does not state the foam density, the fibre content of the cover or the dimensions of each size, so the bamboo in the name is best read as the cover design rather than a declared fibre. If a cover did contain fibre made from bamboo, UK labels would have to call it viscose, since bamboo is absent from the fibre names in Annex I of Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011. GC’s own photo files are named for a 2.5cm topper while the title says 2cm, a small inconsistency worth knowing if depth matters to you.

Prices by size

Only the white version could be ordered when we checked in September 2026; grey is listed at a slightly higher price in every size but was out of stock. GC publishes no topper dimensions, so the table maps its size names to the standard UK single, double, king and super king. Check with GC before ordering for a non-standard mattress.

How a 2cm memory foam topper feels

We rate the feel as medium, 5 out of 10. Memory foam softens with body heat and moulds to your shape, and it can feel warmer to lie on than fibre. A 2cm layer gives a little of that contouring without the deeper sink of a 5cm or 7cm topper, and it should recover its height without shaking, unlike feather or fibre.

Wipe-clean-only care is the main practical drawback. The NHS recommends washing bedding at 60°C and above for people with allergic rhinitis, which a foam topper cannot take, so a washable mattress protector over it is worth adding.
