DUSK Memory Foam 4000 Pocket Sprung Hybrid reviewed

The DUSK Memory Foam 4000 Pocket Sprung Hybrid is a 31 cm mattress with two tiers of pocket springs, 4,000 springs in all, under a memory foam comfort layer and a knitted casing. It is the higher-spec of DUSK’s two hybrid mattresses, above the Memory Foam 2000, and is sold only in double, king and super king, from £389 for a double.

How does it feel?

DUSK describes the support as medium to firm, and we record it as medium-firm, 6 on our 1 to 10 scale. Buyers reviewing it on DUSK’s own page tend to describe it as softer than that label: one calls it a “lovely sink in feeling but still supportive”, and the same reviewer adds that it “can get quite warm due to the memory foam”. Side sleepers can therefore expect more give at the shoulder than “medium to firm” suggests, and individually pocketed springs limit movement between partners. DUSK publishes no maximum weight, so heavier sleepers should use the trial to check that the centre and edges hold up.
