The Dunlopillo Sovereign is a medium-feel latex mattress, 23.5 cm deep according to Dunlopillo, with a sleeping surface of 100% natural Talalay latex over an aerated foam base. It is the middle model of the Core collection and the successor to the Royal Sovereign, whose old MattressNextDay page now redirects to it, and it sells from £969 for a single. We rate it the best Dunlopillo for most sleepers, because its medium feel suits back sleepers, side sleepers and couples alike.

Prices and weights are MattressNextDay’s in October 2026, when the king was in stock and the double had a three to four week lead time. Land of Beds also sells the Sovereign, at higher prices.
MattressNextDay and Land of Beds both rate the Sovereign medium, and we record it as 5 out of 10. Shoulders and hips sink in enough for a side sleeper, while the waist and lower back stay supported for a back sleeper. Because latex pushes back as soon as you shift, turning over feels easier than on dense memory foam. Heavier front sleepers may prefer the firmer Firmrest, and lighter side sleepers who want more cushioning the Millennium.
The Sovereign has a 15-year Dunlopillo guarantee. MattressNextDay lists it as made in the UK, free from animal by-products and built by an approved member of the National Bed Federation, whose members are audited against the NBF Code of Practice. Dunlopillo sells through stockists and runs no home trial, and we found none on this model at MattressNextDay, so lie on one in a showroom first if you can.
