The Relyon Luxury Pashmina 2350 is a 29.5cm no-turn pocket sprung mattress with a comfort layer of pashmina blended with wool. Relyon hand-makes it in Somerset for its Classic collection, where it sits between the Luxury Wool 2150 and the Luxury Alpaca 2550, so it is the middle of the natural-filled no-turn models rather than the plushest or the cheapest.

What is inside

Relyon’s spec sheet for the Pashmina 2350 lists independent pocket springs, firmer springs along the sides so the whole surface can be slept on, the pashmina and wool layer, three rows of side stitching and hand tufting with wool tufts to stop the fillings shifting. There is no foam anywhere in the upholstery.

The 2,350 in the name is the count for a king size. Smaller mattresses have proportionally fewer springs, so a double has 2,036 and a single 1,358. Even the single is well above the 800 springs that the National Bed Federation gives as the starting point for a basic king-size pocket mattress.

Size Dimensions (cm) Pocket springs Weight Price at Mattressman
Single 90x190 1,358 24kg £699
Small double 120x190 1,793 33kg £849
Double 135x190 2,036 36kg £849
King 150x200 2,350 42kg £979
Super king 180x200 2,871 51kg £1,229

Spring counts and weights are Relyon’s figures from its Classic collection brochure; prices are Mattressman’s regular prices, checked in October 2026.

How it feels

Relyon gives no tension grade for this model. Mattressman lists the springs as medium firm and is clear that its label describes support, not surface comfort. The pashmina and wool cushion the shoulder without the slow sink of memory foam, and the springs keep the hips level, so we rate the overall feel a balanced medium. Because the comfort layer is all animal fibre, moisture escapes easily and it should sleep cooler than a foam-topped mattress at a similar price.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

We would point couples and back or side sleepers of average weight towards it, especially if you want natural fillings but do not want to flip a heavy mattress every month. The firm edge lets two people use the full width. If you sleep on your side and like to sink in, the Luxury Silk 2850 is softer thanks to the mini springs in its pillow top. Heavier sleepers and front sleepers are better served by the turnable Heyford Ortho 1500, the firmest Classic model. Skip the Pashmina if you need a mattress free of animal fibres.

Price, delivery and returns

A double costs £849 and a king £979 at Mattressman. In October 2026 the retailer was taking 10% off baskets over £700 automatically at checkout, rising to 15% over £1,000, so every size except the single qualified. Doubles and kings were in stock; the single, small double and super king were made to order with a December delivery date. Delivery is free and the mattress arrives flat.

Mattressman’s 60-night trial is an exchange, not a refund. You must buy a mattress protector with the order, request the swap between nights 30 and 60 and pay a £50 fee. Relyon guarantees the mattress for 10 years.

Care

Being one-sided, it only needs turning end to end. The National Bed Federation’s care advice for non-turn mattresses is to rotate weekly for the first three months and monthly after that. Shallow body impressions will form as the wool settles, which is normal for natural fillings rather than a fault. The border handles help, since a king weighs 42kg.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“Buy the Luxury Pashmina 2350 if you want a natural-filled Relyon that you only ever rotate, with 2,036 springs in a double and a firm edge for sharing. If you avoid animal fibres, or want to sink into a soft pillow top, choose another model.”
