Futons247 Gutscheincode & Aktionen

Futons247 is the web shop of The Futon Shop Ltd, a futon maker based in Plymouth, Devon. Companies House lists the company as active and incorporated in 1998, and every futon in the range is hand-made in its Plymouth workshop.

The range

The futon mattress range splits into two families. The bed rolls (Monk and Neru) are 8 to 11cm thick, built from lambswool and cotton felt, and roll up with fabric straps for storage, which suits guest rooms, camper vans and floor sleeping. The everyday futons are around 17cm thick when new: the 7 Layer is lambswool over five layers of cotton felt, and the Pocket FutoFlex adds a layer of small pocket springs in the middle for a softer, medium feel.

Fire-retardant-free fabrics and delivery

UK upholstered furniture and mattresses must pass the cigarette and match tests set by the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations. Futons247 says its fillings carry no fire-retardant treatment and that its “FR free” fabric options meet the rules without one either, using a wool-guard layer instead. Bed rolls go by parcel carrier, typically 7 to 14 days from ordering, and the thicker futons are made to order and delivered by a two-person crew in two to three weeks. The shop publishes no sleep trial or guarantee.
