The Eve Wunderflip Premium Hybrid Mattress is a 28cm double-sided hybrid with a firmer side and a softer side, 2,500 springs in total and 50mm of memory foam on each face, so you can change its feel by turning it over. Eve sells it as a double, king and super king from £1,099, and it was Eve’s first ever double-sided mattress.

How the two sides work

Eve builds the Wunderflip around its Reactive spring system, 1,000 full-height pocket springs that are firmer at one end and softer at the other. A dual spring layer adds 1,500 more, a mix of tall pocket springs and short micro springs, and the foam casing is firmer on one face and softer on the other. A zip-off quilted comfort layer sits on top. To switch sides, you unzip it, turn the mattress with a helper and zip it back on. Stitched labels on the side say which face is up.

Part What Eve uses What it does
Cover Deep quilted fabric treated with Purotex+ Zip-off comfort layer, moved when you flip
Memory foam (each side) 50mm open-cell memory foam, 7 drill zones Pressure relief; Eve says 5 times more breathable than standard memory foam
Dual spring layer 1,500 pocket and micro pocket springs Extra support; Eve calls it its highest spring count yet
Core 1,000 Reactive full-height pocket springs Firmer at one end, softer at the other
Foam casings Firmer casing on one face, softer on the other Sets the feel of each side
Edges and base Reinforced edge support, side handles Sitting edge and easier turning

Eve’s own descriptions are not fully consistent. The headline calls it “soft or firm”, while the detail text says “a firm feel on one side and a medium feel on the other” and the size selector reads medium/firm. We treat it as medium one side, firm the other.

The allergen treatment

The cover is treated with Purotex+, a probiotic textile finish from the Belgian fabric maker BekaertDeslee. BekaertDeslee states that it lowers house dust mite allergens by up to 96.6% and that its performance is recognised by Allergy UK and OEKO-TEX. That is a claim for the fabric technology, not a lab result on this mattress.

Sizes and prices

UK size Dimensions (cm) Regular price at Eve
Double 135 x 190 £1,099
King 150 x 200 £1,199
Super king 180 x 200 £1,299

These were full prices, with no discount showing, when we checked in September 2026. Eve’s shop lists 4.4 out of 5 from 123 reviews.

Trial and warranty

Eve’s 200-night trial applies, free to return in the first 40 nights and with a collection fee after that, plus a 10-year warranty. Delivery is vacuum-packed and free to most areas. The honest drawback is the flip itself. Turning a 28cm hybrid with 2,500 springs is a job for two people, as Eve’s own instructions assume, so it suits people who expect to settle on one side rather than swap weekly.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Wunderflip Premium Hybrid is for sleepers who are unsure between medium and firm, or whose needs may change, and want 2,500 springs rather than a foam core. If you already know your firmness, the Premium Hybrid gives similar comfort for less.”
