Emma mattress Black Friday: is the sale worth it, and which Emma to buy?

Emma’s UK Black Friday sale runs from 27 October to 30 November 2026 and takes 10% to 40% off its mattresses. We checked the crossed-out prices against our own autumn records and name the Emma worth buying.

Yes, this year Emma’s Black Friday sale is worth buying from. The crossed-out prices are the ones Emma charged in September, when we found no reduction on any of its mattresses, and two of the biggest cuts land on the Emmas we recommend: 30% off the Original Pro, the Emma we would buy, and 40% off the softer Original Elite, the better choice for light side sleepers.

What is in Emma’s Black Friday sale

Emma sets out the sale model by model in its UK terms: 40% off the Original Elite, 30% off the Original Pro, 25% off the all-foam Original Classic, 20% off the Original, 10% off the Original Lite and up to 30% off the three Performance mattresses. Prices stay reduced until Cyber Monday, 30 November 2026.

Emma mattress Height Feel (our rating, 1 soft to 10 firm) Regular price, UK double Black Friday reduction Our score
Original Pro 27 cm Medium-firm (6) £799 30% 9.0/10
Original Elite 27 cm Medium-soft (4) £1,159 40% 8.7/10
Performance 26 26 cm Medium-firm (6) £1,209 Up to 30% 9.2/10
Original 25 cm Medium-firm (6) £529 20% 8.4/10
Original Classic 25 cm Medium (5) £669 25% 7.9/10
Original Lite 22 cm Medium-firm (7) £309 10% 8.3/10

Regular prices are Emma’s own UK prices for a 135x190 double. Reductions from Emma’s UK terms, checked on 27 October 2026.

According to Emma’s Black Friday page, sale orders keep everything a full-price order gets: the 200-night trial counted from delivery, free collection if the mattress goes back, the 10-year guarantee and free delivery. For £50 Emma will also deliver to the room you choose and take the old mattress away the same day.

A code takes a little more off. The newsletter code applies on top of sale prices if you enter it at checkout, and students, NHS staff and other verified groups get an extra 5% through GoCertify, one code per order. That group code gave 25% in October, so verified buyers paid a little less then for the Original and clearly less for the Original Lite.

Is Emma’s Black Friday discount genuine?

This year the crossed-out prices match our own records. On 26 September 2026 every Emma mattress sold at the price Emma now shows struck through, with no reduction on any size, and Emma’s promotion was free extras rather than lower prices. Emma’s Black Friday page adds that each discounted price is calculated from the lowest price the product sold at in the 30 days before the promotion.

Emma’s pricing has been tested in court. The Competition and Markets Authority took Emma to the High Court, and in the judgment of 30 July 2026 Mr Justice Richards found breaches only where Emma had admitted them, among them a crossed-out price that was not the one charged immediately before the promotion and a reference price used while the same product was cheaper inside a bundle. “I conclude that Emma has committed some Schedule 13 infringements,” the judge wrote, meaning breaches of consumer protection law, while refusing the CMA’s request to make Emma sell one mattress at the full price for every two sold at a discount. Emma had already admitted, in May 2026, that its countdown timers and other urgency messages broke the regulations.

So hold a crossed-out price against our September and October checks, and value a bundle against its parts at their own sale prices. This year’s offer carries no countdown clock. The rules every UK mattress seller works under are in our guide to Black Friday mattress deals.

The Emma to buy this Black Friday

The Original Pro is the Emma we recommend in the sale, and at 30% off it is cheaper than at any point we have tracked this autumn. It is a 27 cm hybrid with a graphite-infused ThermoSync foam near the surface and seven zones of pocket springs. We slept on it at home through a summer and it never ran hot. Emma sells it as medium, but it felt firmer to us, which suits back and front sleepers of average or heavier build. At the regular price a UK double costs £799 and a king £919. Below about 60 kg you barely press into the comfort layers, so a light side sleeper feels the support more than the cushioning. Our Original Pro review has the layers and the weight of each size.

Best for side sleepers: the Original Elite at 40% off

The Original Elite gets the biggest cut in Emma’s sale, enough to bring its UK double below the regular price of an Original Pro double. It is Emma’s softest hybrid, 27 cm with a stretchy AirGrid polymer lattice on top, seven zones of pocket springs from edge to edge and a cover that is 36% Tencel. The open lattice also lets air move through the top, which helps if you sleep warm. Emma rates it medium-soft and we place it at 4 out of 10, two steps softer than the Original Pro, so shoulders and hips settle further in. That makes it the Emma for side sleepers and lighter builds, while front sleepers should stay with the Pro. It comes in single, double, king and super king, with no small double.

Original, Classic, Lite and Performance in the sale

The Original, at 20% off, is the pick below the Pro, with memory foam over five zones of springs in 25 cm. In our home test it was medium-firm and stayed quiet when a partner turned over. The all-foam Original Classic, 25% off, only makes sense if you dislike springs, since it costs more than the hybrid Original and sheds heat more slowly. The Original Lite’s 10% is a small saving, so buy it when you need it rather than for the sale. Our ranking of the best Emma mattresses sets all six side by side.

The Performance is the coolest Emma we have slept on, with an open AirGrid lattice over two layers of memory foam and zoned springs, sold in 26, 28 and 30 cm. Even at close to 30% off, a 26 cm double costs more than an Original Pro double at full price, so buy it for the temperature. If you sleep hot and the budget stretches, it is the Emma to choose.

How to get the best price from Emma

  • Order a UK size. Emma’s continental 140x200 and 160x200 mattresses will not fit a standard UK frame built for a 135x190 double or a 150x200 king. Our guide to UK mattress sizes has the measurements.
  • Get the code before you pay. Emma cannot add a newsletter code once the order is complete.
  • Read a bundle’s returns rule. Emma refunds a returned bundle item at its own discounted price. Bundles that include a free product are the exception, so check their terms before you count on sending one piece back.

Emma Black Friday: frequently asked questions

When does the Emma Black Friday sale end?

Emma’s UK Black Friday sale ends on Monday 30 November 2026. It began on 27 October, a month before Black Friday itself.

Will Emma cut prices further on Black Friday?

Emma has not announced a deeper cut for 27 November. Emma can add discounts during the sale, or change or withdraw the promotion without notice, so a price you are happy with now is worth taking.

Can I use an Emma discount code on Black Friday prices?

Yes, one code per order. Emma accepts its newsletter code on sale prices when you enter it before paying, and verified groups get an extra 5% through GoCertify. Our Emma page lists the codes we have checked.

Can I return an Emma mattress bought in the Black Friday sale?

Yes. A sale mattress has the same 200-night trial as at full price: Emma collects it free of charge and refunds you in full, and the 200 nights start on the day of delivery.

Which Emma mattress is best for couples?

The Original suits most couples, and it is 20% off in the sale. Its pocket springs kept a partner’s movement from carrying across the bed in our home test, and Emma makes it in every UK size from small double to super king. Couples who both sleep hot should look at the Performance instead.

Is an Emma mattress cheaper on Black Friday than the rest of the year?

For four of the six models, yes. From late September to mid-October we found Emma’s mattresses at their regular prices, with codes of 20% to 25% and free gifts on top, so the reductions on the Original Pro (30%), Original Elite (40%) and Performance (up to 30%) beat anything Emma offered then. The Classic’s 25% is open to everyone, where October’s 25% needed a verified-group code. The Original’s 20% only matches October’s 20% code before you add a newsletter code, and the Original Lite’s 10% is less than October’s codes gave.

Our verdict

Emma’s reductions are real this year, and the cuts on its best mattresses are large. Buy the Original Pro at 30% off, unless you sleep on your side and weigh little, in which case the Original Elite at 40% off is the better bed for you. To see Emma against Simba, Aspire and the rest of the market, our ranking of the best Black Friday mattress deals puts them side by side.
