The Silentnight Memory Foam Rolled is an 18cm all-foam mattress with a medium feel, made in the UK and delivered rolled and vacuum packed. It is one of the most reviewed mattresses at Argos, rated 4.5 out of 5 by more than 4,400 buyers, as read on 5 October 2026.

How it is built

There are no springs. The support comes from a high-density Miratex foam base cut into three zones for the shoulders, hips and legs, with a memory foam layer on top that moulds to the body. The knitted cover has a flat top finish and a hypoallergenic treatment that Silentnight says reduces moisture and dust mites, according to the Argos product page.

Rolled mattresses like this one are now a mainstream choice. The National Bed Federation’s 2026 consumer survey found that roll-up mattresses made up 33% of purchases, up from 23.5% in its previous report. Once unpacked, it needs up to 48 hours to reach full depth and should air in a ventilated room.

Sizes and prices at Argos

Double 135x190 £275

Who it suits

The memory foam suits side sleepers and couples, since it absorbs movement and there are no springs to creak. Argos buyers score its firmness 3.3 out of 5, softer than most sprung Silentnight models. At 18cm it is a slim mattress, so heavier sleepers will get more support from a deeper sprung model, and memory foam holds more heat than fibre.

Silentnight gives it a 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee, and Argos’s 100-night comfort promise allows one exchange for another mattress of the same size.

Unser Urteil

Fazit
„The Memory Foam Rolled is the Silentnight to buy at Argos if the mattress has to go up a narrow staircase or into a car boot, and it carries a longer guarantee than the own-label rolled foam models beside it. At 18cm it is slim, so heavier sleepers should look at a deeper sprung model.“
