The Latex Sense Organic Latex Topper is a medium-soft topper with a 6cm core of GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex inside a zip-off cover of GOTS-certified organic cotton and organic wool, about 7cm deep in total. It is the only Latex Sense topper with certified organic materials throughout, and at the time of writing (September 2026) it costs £515 in a UK double and £365 in a single.

Construction

The layer order below follows the cutaway diagram and specification on the Organic Latex Topper page on latexsense.co.uk.

Layer (top to bottom) Material Certification
Cover, top Organic cotton quilted with organic merino wool, zip-off GOTS
Fire barrier Graphite-infused latex None named
Core 6cm organic Dunlop latex, 65kg/m³, 7 zones GOLS
Fire barrier Graphite-infused latex None named
Cover, bottom Organic cotton quilted with organic merino wool GOTS

Latex Sense gives the overall depth as approximately 7cm with the cover, although the size table on the same page lists 9cm, so allow for a little extra height. The latex density is 65kg/m³, the same as the Luxury Dunlop topper, but the quilted wool cover makes the surface softer, and the maker rates the feel medium-soft.

What the organic labels mean

The two certificates cover different parts of the topper. The Global Organic Latex Standard, developed by Control Union, requires every raw material in a labelled product, other than approved accessories, to come from organically grown natural rubber latex. The Global Organic Textile Standard covers the cover fabric and certifies the whole processing chain, from spinning to the finished product, through independent certification bodies. Together they make this the easiest Latex Sense topper to verify on materials, which matters if you are buying natural latex precisely to avoid synthetic blends.

Wool and temperature

Latex Sense says the wool in the cover keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter. The research is more modest. A University of Sydney sleep-lab study of 17 adults in Nature and Science of Sleep (Shin et al., 2016) found that wool sleepwear shortened the time taken to fall asleep compared with cotton, but it found no effect from wool bedding against polyester. Expect a breathable, dry surface from the wool and open-cell latex, not a cooling system.

When we checked on 28 September 2026 the Euro double (140 x 200cm) was out of stock; every other size was available. The organic topper is heavy, 18kg in a UK double, so turning it is a two-person job. It suits side and back sleepers on a firm or medium mattress who want certified materials, and it is not vegan because of the wool.

The Organic has the same 30-night trial as the other Latex Sense toppers, with one free exchange, a new 30 nights on the replacement, or a refund within the trial. At 18kg in a double, the free collection on the UK mainland and in Scotland matters more than usual. Custom sizes are excluded, a change of size costs £50, and the guarantee runs for 10 years.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Organic is the Latex Sense topper to buy if certified materials matter to you, pairing a GOLS organic latex core with a GOTS cotton and wool cover. It is heavy at 18kg in a UK double, and its medium-soft feel will not firm up a mattress that has started to sag.”
