Brightr Titan Deluxe Mattress Topper reviewed

The Brightr Titan Deluxe is an 8 cm reversible foam topper for firming up a mattress that has become too soft, with a firm side and an extra-firm side. At 8 cm it shares the top depth in Brightr’s range with the softer Aurora Deluxe, and costs from £209.90 for a small single, about £70 more than the 5 cm Brightr Titan in every size.

What is the Brightr Titan Deluxe made of?

Brightr’s Titan Deluxe page names CertiPUR certified foams, OEKO-TEX certified textiles and manufacture in Europe, without naming the country. The layer depths come from the topper comparison chart on Brightr’s Titan page. Under OEKO-TEX Standard 100, every thread, button and accessory of a labelled textile is tested against a list of more than 1,000 harmful substances.

Is firmer better for back pain?

Not for most people, and that shapes how to use this topper. Brightr markets the extra-firm side for back pain, but the best trial evidence points to medium-firm. In a randomised trial of 313 adults with chronic low back pain published in The Lancet (Kovacs et al., 2003), those on medium-firm mattresses had better outcomes for pain in bed, pain on rising and disability after 90 days than those on firm ones. So use the Titan Deluxe to restore support to a mattress that has gone soft, which is what it is built for, rather than to make a supportive mattress harder.

We rate it firm, 8 on our 1 to 10 scale. Back and front sleepers, and heavier people who sink into an old mattress, benefit most. Side sleepers on the extra-firm side will feel pressure at the shoulder. Eight centimetres of dense foam evens out moderate softness better than the 5 cm Titan, but no topper can fill a deep permanent dip.

Prices by size

Regular prices at the time of writing (September 2026), with no price promotion on this model; Brightr was adding a free pillow instead. The king and super king were listed as shipping from 1 October. EU sizes are also sold.

Trial, warranty and delivery

Brightr offers a 100-night comfort trial with a full refund, but asks you to sleep on the topper for at least 60 nights before returning it. The foam carries a five-year limited warranty and the removable cover one year. Delivery is free and next business day to UK mainland addresses for weekday orders placed before 12pm; Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands and the Channel Islands may cost extra. An 8 cm topper also adds noticeable height to the bed, so check that your fitted sheets have deep enough pockets.
