Active Era Comfort Plus Air Bed reviewed

The Active Era Comfort Plus Air Bed is a 36.5 cm raised air bed that swaps the Comfort’s air coils for five or six I-beam chambers, which Active Era likens to the slats of a bed, and its king is rated to 250 kg. It keeps the integrated pillow and built-in pump, and costs £59.99 for a double in the Green/White colourway.

Sizes and specifications

The figures below are from the specification tables on Active Era’s UK product pages, checked in September 2026, with the Green/White prices charged at the time of writing. As on the Comfort, a higher struck-through price is shown alongside, and the Navy/White version of the same bed is listed for considerably more.

Every size has a 0.60 mm flocked top on 0.40 mm PVC, a manual valve for use without mains power, and a carry bag. The king is the reason to choose this model over the Comfort. Its 250 kg rating and 200 x 150 cm footprint, the same as a UK king mattress, suit two adults better than the Comfort double. The double and single carry the same weight limits as the equivalent Comfort sizes, so for one guest the extra cost buys little.

Air loss and height

Active Era says the Comfort Plus stays inflated all night, but it publishes no deflation figure, so keep the manual valve and a pump in mind if a guest stays for several nights. At 36.5 cm in every size it sits below the height of a normal bed frame, which older guests will notice when they get up.

Returns and warranty

Active Era offers no sleep trial, only the 14-day cancellation window set by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and it refunds unused beds only. The limited warranty runs for one year, or 18 months if you register within seven days. Delivery is free and takes two to three working days to mainland UK addresses.

Buy the king for a couple or a heavier guest who needs a firm, even surface for a few nights. For a single visitor the cheaper Comfort does the same job.
