Relyon discount codes & offers

Relyon is a British bed maker based at Station Mills in Wellington, Somerset, and it has made mattresses there since 1858. It began with a Somerset family of wool merchants whose all-wool mattresses were known as beds you could rely on, which is where the name comes from, according to Relyon’s own history. The same page says the factory employs nearly 260 people, makes its own pocket springs on site, runs its own wood mill and uses FSC-certified timber for its divan bases.

Who owns Relyon

The business trades today as Relyon Beds Ltd. In August 2020 it was bought out of administration from PwC by Michco 2001 Ltd, a company set up by former Relyon chief executive Ian Topping and other private investors. Furniture News reported that the deal saved 280 jobs and included the Wellington freehold and the rights to the Relyon and Dunlopillo mattress brand names. Relyon is also listed among the National Bed Federation’s approved brands.

The Relyon range

Relyon sells four mattress collections through retailers. Most models are named after their spring count in a king size, and retailers also sell Relyon mattresses under names of their own, such as the Chelsea and Guildford models at MattressNextDay. Dreams sells Relyon latex mattresses made with Dunlopillo latex.

Buying a Relyon mattress

Relyon does not sell online itself, so prices and terms come from the stockist. Guarantees run to 10 years on most mattresses and 15 years on Heritage models such as the Braemar, and Relyon handles faults through the retailer you bought from. Sleep trials depend on the shop: Mattressman offers a 60-night exchange on the Classic models we checked, while MattressNextDay takes back only unopened mattresses. Our reviews cover the Natural Luxury Supreme 2150 Pillow Top, the Luxury Silk 2850, the Chelsea 1500 Memory and the Braemar, among others.
