Snoozel Green Organic Mattress reviewed

The Snoozel Green Organic Mattress is a 27cm medium-firm hybrid that combines certified organic latex, cotton and wool with a base of recycled steel pocket springs. It is one of the least expensive ways to buy all three organic materials in one mattress in the UK, with a single at £729 at the time of writing (October 2026).

What is inside

Snoozel Green’s product page lists the layers from the top down:

GOLS is the Global Organic Latex Standard run by Control Union, and GOTS is the Global Organic Textile Standard, which requires at least 70% certified organic fibre in any product it certifies. Both apply to the materials named, not to the finished mattress as a whole. Snoozel Green says the mattress contains no synthetic foam, no glue and no chemical fire-retardant spray.

Feel and who it suits

Snoozel Green describes the feel as medium-firm, which we score 6 out of 10. Latex pushes back quickly, so you lie on the mattress more than in it and turning over takes little effort, while the wool keeps the surface drier than a foam top. Back and combination sleepers suit it best. A light side sleeper who wants deep shoulder sink may find it too buoyant.

Prices, trial and delivery

The trial runs for 101 nights, with returns accepted after a minimum of 30 nights and collected free. The guarantee is five years. Delivery is free by a two-person team who carry the mattress flat to the room you choose. In mid-October 2026 the single and king showed December delivery and the double and super king were sold out, so check the date for your size before you order.

The production country is unclear: the description says the mattress is handcrafted in the UK, while the factory section describes a factory beside the rubber growers who supply its latex.
