Yawn Air Bed Deluxe with Fitted Sheet im Test

The Yawn Air Bed Deluxe is a guest air bed with an inflatable headboard, a raised rim and a 2-in-1 motor that inflates and deflates it in about five minutes, sold with a custom fitted sheet. The single costs £79.99 at Robert Dyas (September 2026), and the brand also makes a double and a king.

Yawn Air Bed Deluxe sizes and prices

The overall length includes the headboard, so the lying surface is shorter than 216cm. Dimensions come from High Street TV’s own drawings for each size; prices are Robert Dyas’s single and its listed prices for the double and king, which match High Street TV’s own £99.99 for the king.

What makes it different from a basic airbed

The headboard is the feature most airbeds lack. It stops pillows sliding off in the night and makes the bed look finished when it is made up. The fitted sheet has elastic corners plus straps across the top, so it stays on a flocked surface that already grips bedding. Inside, independent air pillars carry the weight, which High Street TV says keeps one sleeper from disturbing the other when they turn over.

Height is where the sizes differ. The single stands 36cm, which is low for an adult getting up in the morning; the double and king are 45cm, close to a divan. B&Q’s listing for the single confirms the 36cm height, the 5.38kg weight and the one-year guarantee.

How to set the firmness

Firmness depends on how much air you pump in. A systematic review of 24 trials in Sleep Health (Radwan et al., 2015) found that mattresses rated medium-firm and adjusted by the sleeper gave the best comfort and spinal alignment, so inflate fully, lie down and let air out until your shoulders sink slightly.

Who it suits

The Deluxe works best as a regular guest bed or for children’s sleepovers, where the headboard and sheet save effort. The pump needs a mains socket, so it is not an off-grid camping bed, and the one-year guarantee is short. Robert Dyas charges £2.95 for standard delivery, and the bed is sent by High Street TV.
