Active Era Comfort Air Bed reviewed

The Active Era Comfort Air Bed is a raised guest bed, 36.5 cm high in single and double, with internal air coils, an integrated pillow and a built-in electric pump that fills the double in 2 minutes 20 seconds. In the Green/White colourway it costs £44.99 for a double, which makes it the cheapest raised bed with a built-in pump in Active Era’s UK range.

Sizes and specifications

Each size is a separate listing on Active Era’s UK shop, and the figures below come from the specification table on each page, checked in September 2026. Prices are the Green/White prices charged at the time of writing; Active Era shows a higher struck-through price next to them, which has stood since at least June 2026.

The top is 0.60 mm flocked PVC over 0.40 mm PVC sides, so it feels less slippery than bare vinyl and resists spills. A manual valve lets you inflate it with another pump if there is no socket, and it packs into the carry bag supplied. Active Era rates the single and double for 5-40°C and the king for 0-35°C, which matters in an unheated room or a garage. The Grey/Navy version of the same bed is listed at about twice the Green/White price for the same published specification, so check the colourway before you order.

Height

At 36.5 cm the Comfort lifts a guest well off the floor, but it still sits below the height of a normal bed frame, and the king is slightly lower at 35.5 cm. That makes it a little harder to get up from, which is worth knowing if your guest has stiff knees.

Returns and warranty

There is no sleep trial. You can cancel within the 14 days that the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give online buyers, but Active Era only refunds unused beds. The Active Era limited warranty gives one year of cover for defects, extended to 18 months if you register the bed within seven days of purchase. Delivery is free, in two to three working days to mainland UK.

We would buy the double for occasional guests in a spare room. The single’s 120 kg limit is the one real weakness, and anyone heavier should step up to the double or look at the Comfort Plus, whose I-beam king takes 250 kg.
