The Sealy Luxury Anti-Allergy Mattress Topper is a 2.5cm hollowfibre topper with anti-allergy fibres and a soft-touch microfibre cover, sold on Tesco Marketplace in single, double, king and super king. It is the cheapest branded topper we would buy on tesco.com.

How it is made

The Tesco listing describes anti-allergy Fibadown hollowfibre that Sealy says protects against bacteria and house dust mites, a microfibre cover with detailed edges and a satin sash label, and elasticated corner straps. It is machine washable, at 40°C according to the packaging, and Sealy offers a 2-year guarantee on its toppers.

Sizes and Tesco prices

Each size is a separate listing sold by eBedding LTD, with free standard delivery and free returns within 30 days, and prices were checked on 11 October 2026. The super king costs only a pound more than the king, which makes it the better buy if your bed is the larger size.

Anti-allergy at 40°C

Allergy UK’s dust mite factsheet says that only washing at 60°C or above kills mites. At 40°C the wash refreshes this topper and clears allergen for a time, while the treated fibre does the rest. For a confirmed allergy, a full encasement for the mattress matters more than a topper.

Feel and who it suits

We rate it medium soft, 4 out of 10. At 2.5cm it smooths the surface rather than softening the bed, below the 5cm the National Bed Federation’s Bed Advice UK recommends for a noticeable change. It suits guest beds, student rooms and anyone who wants a washable layer between sheet and mattress for very little money. If your main aim is to keep a new mattress clean, it does that job well, because the whole topper can go in the machine while the mattress stays untouched.
