A firm 10cm foam mattress with a washable cover, made to fit IKEA Lycksele sofa-bed and chair-bed frames.
The IKEA Lycksele Murbo is a 10cm foam mattress made only for IKEA’s Lycksele sofa-bed and chair-bed frames, and it is the upgrade of the two mattresses IKEA sells for that frame. IKEA UK lists it at £160 for the 140 x 188cm sofa-bed size, and in an 80 x 188cm width for the Lycksele chair bed.

Figures are from the IKEA UK pages for the Murbo and the Lövås at the time of writing (October 2026). The denser foam and the washable cover are what the extra money buys.
IKEA calls the Murbo a comfortable and firm foam mattress for use every night, and we record it as firm, 7 out of 10. Buyer reviews on the IKEA page split along that line: some sleep on it every night and like the flat, firm surface, others found it much firmer than the mattress it replaced and added a topper. It fits the Lycksele frame and nothing else in IKEA’s range, so for any other sofa bed measure the old mattress and look at a specialist replacement instead.
IKEA’s product page offers a return within 365 days for a full refund, subject to the conditions of its return policy, and delivery is charged by weight or you can collect in store. No product-specific guarantee is listed for this mattress.

„If you own a Lycksele frame, the Murbo is the replacement to buy over the cheaper Lövås, for its denser foam and a cover you can wash at 60°C. It is firm and fits nothing but the Lycksele, so owners of any other sofa bed should look elsewhere.“
