Duvalay Travel Topper reviewed

The Duvalay Travel Topper is a roll-up foam topper for the beds people find hardest to sleep on: caravan seating, campervan rock and roll benches and motorhome singles. It is Duvalay’s best-selling topper, handmade in Yorkshire, and it fits more leisure-vehicle beds than any other model in the range without a made-to-measure order.

Widths, foams and depths

Every Travel Topper is 190cm long and comes in three widths. According to the Duvalay product page, the 58cm width suits campervans (two side by side cover most two-seater rock and roll and RIB beds), the 66cm width suits caravan seating and front make-up beds, and the 77cm width suits the small single beds in many motorhomes. The 66cm is the most popular.

You then choose the foam. Gold is Duvalay’s highest-density, firmest memory foam and the only one sold at 2.5cm; Silver is a slightly softer, medium-firm memory foam at 5cm; Freshtec is a softer, breathable foam with a cool-touch cover for people who sleep hot. The Duvalay foam guide recommends Silver for side sleepers and joint pain and Gold for back sleepers.

Prices by width

The cheapest version in each width is the 2.5cm Gold: £99.95 in 58cm, £99.95 in 66cm and £119.95 in 77cm. The 5cm Silver costs £20 more in the 58 and 66cm widths, and Freshtec is the most expensive option in every width. Prices were checked on 13 October 2026; the caravan dealer Norwich Camping listed the 66cm 2.5cm Gold version at £99.99 the same day.

Who it suits

We recommend the Travel Topper to anyone whose bed is a rectangle close to one of the three widths, or two of them side by side. Choose 5cm if you sleep on bench cushions and feel the joins, and 2.5cm if locker space matters more than depth. Duvalay also suggests it for guest beds and hotel beds. It does not suit a 200cm-long bed, which it leaves 10cm short, or an island or French bed with shaped corners, where a custom topper fits properly.

Care, delivery and returns

The zipped cover (67% polyester, 29% viscose, 4% other fibres) machine washes at 30°C and must not be tumble dried. Straps for rolling are included. Delivery is free on orders over £100 to mainland UK, with express delivery in two to three working days for £14.99. There is no sleep trial, but the Duvalay returns policy accepts unused items in their packaging within 14 days, at your cost.
