The Aspire Dual Layer Pro Hybrid Rolled Mattress is a 20cm Bonnell sprung mattress topped with two layers of eco foam made from recycled foam, under a quilted Cool Touch cover. Aspire rates it medium, and the absence of memory foam means it feels more resilient and less sink-in than the brand’s other budget hybrids. It is made in the UK and delivered rolled.

Recycled foam instead of memory foam

According to Aspire’s product page, both foam layers are eco foam made from 100% recycled foam. Eco foam is denser and springier than memory foam: it pushes back as soon as you lie down rather than slowly moulding to you. That suits back sleepers and people who dislike the “stuck” feeling of memory foam, and it holds less heat. The full cross-section looks like this:

Layer, top to bottom What Aspire uses
Sleep surface Aspire Cool Touch fabric, channel quilted
Comfort foam Two layers of recycled eco support foam
Insulator Recycled felt pad
Spring unit Bonnell open coil, up to 460 springs
Insulator Recycled felt pad
Base fibre 400gsm high-loft recycled polyester
Underside Recycled non-slip base fabric

The grey diamond-pattern border is the easiest way to tell it apart from Aspire’s all-white budget mattresses in photos. Underneath, it shares their Bonnell unit, so it has the same two traits of any open coil: a lively, bouncy feel, and movement that travels from one side of the bed to the other.

Sizes and prices

Size Mattress size (cm) Aspire price
Small single (2ft6) 75 x 190 £148
Single (3ft) 90 x 190 £159
Small double (4ft) 120 x 190 £189
Double (4ft6) 135 x 190 £198
King (5ft) 150 x 200 £212

We read these prices on 15 October 2026, with no reductions. Unlike Aspire’s other rolled budget models, the single and small single are priced differently here. The range stops at king. The mattress arrives vacuum packed and rolled, which Aspire says reduces the transport footprint, and a roll is far easier to carry up a narrow staircase than a flat mattress. Leave it to recover on the bed before you make it up.

Who it suits

It suits a back sleeper of average weight who wants a firmer surface than the memory foam models give, or a guest bed that should feel supportive rather than plush. Side sleepers with broad shoulders will get more pressure relief from Aspire’s Double Comfort Memory Rolled, which costs about the same.

Warranty and returns

The warranty is 12 months. There is no sleep trial, and Aspire’s returns policy excludes mattresses whose hygiene seal has been broken from the 14-day cancellation right unless they are faulty. Delivery to the doorstep is free on the UK mainland. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 allow a seller to exclude sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons once they have been unsealed, which is the rule Aspire applies.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“Pick the Dual Layer Pro Hybrid if memory foam feels too slow and warm for you and you want a firmer, springier budget mattress for a back sleeper or a guest room. For side sleeping or a shared bed, it is not the right tool.”
